Holiday Inn Champaign by IHG

My room has comfy pillows and a great mattress. The fridge is kind of larger than normal which would be great if I was staying longer. The bartender Darrell is lovely. He offered to make cocktails he did not know and did a great job. I’m hoping the busy pool will empty by night. I’m super happy

Everything was pretty great only issues I had was no remote, tissue was empty, and the pool had no towels. Breakfast was good just wish there was more to choose from. They were pretty low or out of everything and we got there before 8 am. I also had to wonder around to find ice maker and when checking in, I was not told about the parking situation. That wasn't a huge issue just would have been nice to know when I checked in.

This was my first stay at this property, Check in was quick and hassle free. The room was clean, larger than expected and comfortable to work and lounge in. The bed was easy on my back and there was no noise heard from the neighbors. At breakfast the staff was accommodating, friendly and went out of their way even grabbing me one last Coke as she had her coat on and was leaving for the day. Who does that?

The room and common areas were clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was accommodating and professional. The room temperature is regulated by a loud wall unit but it kept the room mostly comfortable. I would suggest some type of shelf or table in the bathroom area because the only thing available were towel bars and there was no flat surface to place item on. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again next year for our event.

We had reservations Friday - Sunday; however, we got into Champaign Thursday evening and Tony was very helpful in getting us a room for the entire weekend without us having to change rooms between the two reservations. Breakfast was tasty each morning (loved the fresh fruit). Sunday evening we stopped in the bar for a snack and Daniel took great care of us! He was professional and still personable. Shout out to Darrin for the delicious spicy shrimp appetizer. Will definitely stay here again on return trips to visit our grandchildren.

Super nice hotel! The staff are friendly and helpful. We went to the bar in the first night we were there and the bartender Darrell was great! Also went to the breakfast buffet the next morning and Jeff was just as great as Darrell. The food was excellent and service was above excellent. Definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff were very friendly. The gym was nice and clean. The dessert was nice and okay but nothing special to spend nearly $10 on. My room is where everything turned around. My room's bathroom was unclean with hair still on the shower walls and in the tub, water was slowly draining from the tub, the shower water was lukewarm, and the pressure and amount of water from the shower head were depressing. This made for an unsatisfying shower experience. The bathroom had visible marks from water splashes. The thermostat seemed to not function properly as the temperature of the room was still cold after turning it up by several degrees and on heat. The overall issues with the room caused me to question the cleanliness of the rest of the room, making it unsettling and uncomfortable to sleep in the bed. Because I only stayed one night, I didn't fuss unless I was asked how my experience/room was but I wasn't. I couldn't wait to leave the room the following morning.

Just went down for the most excellent breakfast buffet I met Keisha. She was so friendly and welcoming. I truly enjoyed all of our conversation. She even snuck me some powdered sugar from the kitchen for my French toast.! talk about above and beyond Jeff came in shortly after her and the three of us chatted it up. They were such positive rays of light. There is nothing like excellent service and a warm meal to get your day started in the best way possible thank you for your service K and J 😜
