Days Inn by Wyndham Champaign/Urbana

Absolutely one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. The guy at the front desk was simultaneously rude and clueless. The room was dirty, smelly, and looks like with was constructed by a one armed drunk local handyman that claims he can do it for half the price. People who aren’t even staying in the motel are walking aimlessly around the property. And the common clientele seems to be your local crackhead who stomps around and slams things until the early morning or they run out of drugs. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.

Horrible experience. The location of the hotel was not the best neighborhood, but was hopeful. Upon check-in, the room was not in the best condition, so I checked the bathroom and saw cockroaches. I immediately left, and told the desk clerk I will not be staying and to not charge my credit card due to the conditions of my room. They charged me the full 2 night stay. I complained to the corporate entity but only received a partial refund. The phone number listed does not work, and repeated email requests to both the hotel and the corporate entity have gone unanswered. Do not stay here.

Two years ago I was sleeping and the head board fell on my head. To this day, I still can't reach the owner to get the information that I need to move forward. I spoke with one guy the day of the incident and I wrote a report. Now, no one wants to return my calls or when I go there they ignore me and send me off by asking for my information but NEVER calling. I am about to go crazy soon!!!

While the staff at this property were exceptional, my stay was marred by numerous issues with the room. The front door was dysfunctional, requiring significant force to lock properly. Additionally, the fridge was leaking, although it was promptly addressed by the front desk upon reporting. The drawers under the TV stand were riddled with holes, rendering them unusable, and the bathroom door exhibited multiple holes on the inside. The property appears to be in dire need of extensive repairs. Regrettably, based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here. It is disheartening to have paid a substantial amount for such substandard accommodations.

We needed a place to crash for the night. It was right off the interstate and it was $90. With that being said, I didn't expect a lot. Based on those expectations, I wasn't disappointed. Staff was very friendly, check-in was easy, breakfast was decent, and the room allowed me to sleep for one night. It served its purpose.

I paid over $220 for one night on a busy weekend at UIUC. There was no hot water for a shower even after running it for 5 minutes. The manager was not surprised at checkout when I complained about my cold shower and stated that I should have run the water for 10 to 15 minutes. The bed sheets had stains. I am not sure when the room was last cleaned. The room smelled like smoking and mold even though it was "non-smoking." The free "wifi" did NOT CONNECT to the internet. I would hope that the Better Business Bureau is contacted and shuts this place down for false advertising and not providing warm water. I have had warm water at camping sites for twenty times less than this place that was a rip off.

I stayed at this property passing through on a road trip. I booked on line and confirmed a $77 rate (incl taxes) and was charged $87. I am handling that through my cc company as front desk would not discuss. We had three roaches, one on the bedroom dresser and two in the bathroom, which we took pictures of only to have the front desk say they were grasshopper- REALLY! I have reported to Wyndham; this location should NOT be allowed to remain open. It was THAT bad.

I give one star because no stars were not an option. No hot water was told to let it run 15 to 20 minutes. Aftet 15 to 20 minutes still no hot water. Very unsanitary. A fire hazard, would not reccommend. Very disgusting place to stay. I brought this to the hotels attention and nothing was done. There was sticky stuff on the table from the previous persons stay. Very gross. Will never stay at a Days Inn ever again. We had another one reserved for the next trip and canceled the reservation. I wasnt looking for the Hilton but did expect a clean place to sleep for the night for what we were charged. Phone to front desk didnt work and wires were hanging out of the wall. Fire hazard.
