NillThe room was dirty, I travel alot for work so seeing some thing in rooms does not bother me, a hair. Ect... this room had food left in the refrigerator, finger/ toe nail clippings on the bathroom floor, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and a dirty hand towel hanging over the curtain rod in the shower. I have been in this hotel before and i was shocked by the appalling condition.

NillNice rooms and layout, but shower was dirty, staff was very slow to respond and of all the hotels I have checked into - this one took the longest by far (and I already had a reservation). The level of trash on the property was very alarming too. This was one of th only options for pet friendly hotel during a tour of college campus' in the area

★★★★★Hotel staff were accommodating. I requested an extra pillow and it was immediately brought to my room. Breakfast lady seemed too busy to answer my questions but all other staff I encountered was great! Overall would stay again if I am ever in the area.

★★★★The hotel was nice. They are in the process of updating so the carpet in the hallway is beautiful and some rooms have nice new bathrooms and others are still old but overall it’s nice. They had a problem with the kitchen and the health department shut it down so they just had prepackaged stuff for breakfast. Nothing hot or refrigerated. But they are working on it. There was a corporate manager there and he was very friendly and it was obvious that he was training the staff. The assistant manager Saleema was outstanding. She went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. I feel confident that the hotel will continue to improve.

NillTo be fair, this is a nice hotel, very clean, nice rooms, good breakfast, good amenities. However, 3/4 of the staff seem like they're half asleep. Checking in took over 10 minutes, everything was just very slow and the desk staff openly yawning while talking, etc.. Just very low energy and effort. I called the front desk the night before checkout to ask if I could have a late checkout. First call: answered and immediately hung up. Second call: answered and put on hold for 10 min. Third call: hung up from being on hold and called back, answered, and said yes to a noon checkout AND THEN DIDN'T TELL THE NEXT PERSON THAT THEY SAID WE COULD HAVE A LATE CHECKOUT. So they called me the next day saying I missed checkout, etc.. Again, as a facility it has everything you'd want in this range of a hotel, but man the staff is just so low effort.

★If there’s a single thing you can do for yourself for self-care in Champaign it’s avoid staying at this hotel. They do not care if you’re a loyal Bonvoy member, they do not care that you’re paying for a room, they do not care if you need the basic amenities that you thought you were going to get. ||Compared to other Bonvoy properties, this place is an embarrassment. The management is horrible. Some staff members are great but the housekeeping is far below inadequate and if you are an extended stay guest and you’re showing up with the expectation your room will be cleaned literally at all, you should rid yourself of that fantasy.||The facilities are not maintained - the gym is constantly too hot, the laundry machines are half broken, and if you’re visiting with kids don’t imagine the basketball court is still there in late 2024. And don’t get me started on the metal door jamb that fell right off our door and almost landed on me.||They need to do a ton of work on this place and a ton of training with the staff and their new management understands this but they don’t want do anything about it, instead solely focusing on getting out of the red. At one point during our stay a construction crew was given carte blanche to work as if the entire hotel was empty and this led to trash and boxes in every hallway of all four floors. Why go here for a room when they’re going to behave like this and not work around the fact that there are paying customers here? ||Frankly they don’t care if you’re happy or not because they know they’re going to get the one night or two night stay guests who are just in Champaign to see a U of I game. ||Marriott should sell the naming rights of this place to some low rent grifter so its new name matches the quality you’ll actually get when you stay.

NillRooms are freshly remodeled and clean. The front desks staff was courteous. It is what you would expect from a Marriott. I would stay again.
