Our check-in at LondonHouse Chicago was quick and efficient, with no lines or rush — so there was no reason not to explain how breakfast works, yet no one provided that information. We stayed for two nights, and we do appreciate the housekeeping staff who replaced towels and coffee capsules — thank you for that. At breakfast, we had an issue reserving a table for the next morning. The staff initially refused our request until we insisted on speaking with a manager. Only then was the table reservation sorted out. We were also surprised to learn — only after receiving the bill — that the breakfast voucher covers only $20 per person, not the full amount. That first morning we had to pay an extra $70. The next day, understanding the system better, we limited our order and paid just $12 out of pocket. However, the waiter was visibly upset that the tip was based on the remaining amount, not the full bill. He rudely dropped the receipt on our table, which was disappointing. Overall, the stay itself was pleasant, and the view from our room was stunning. However, certain experiences — especially around breakfast and the attitude of some staff — damaged the overall atmosphere. It’s frustrating when guests are made to feel like just an opportunity for extra charges rather than welcomed visitors.

This is genuinely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! The room was spacious and extremely clean. Every single person we interacted with from the front desk associate, to room service, to the cleaning staff, to the bartenders were friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic and you can't beat the beautiful view of the river from your bathroom. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and plan to come back to take advantage of the spa services next time!

Shams was an amazing reception. He did everything he can to accommodate us. We had arrived early before our check in time and Shams worked with us to provide excellent customer service. He did everything he can to help us get an upgrade. Our room was beautiful. I recommend everybody to stay here if they ever get the chance. This was one of the best experience we ever had! London Hotel is such a nice property, the staff is great, the rooms are clean overall a 10/10 experience. Jorge was also really kind to us! And helped us hold our bags. Thank you so much London house! You guys are amazing

Rooms are modern and bathrooms are spacious. I chose a corner room to get a good view of the river and was not disappointed. The elevator system is PERFECT. You simply type in your floor and it directs you to the elevator. Gone are the days of crowded elevators and waiting around. Older hotels in Chicago have not caught up and do not compare to how the London Houses system. The bartenders at the lobby bar are phenomenal. Despite a crowd, they were attentive and mix great cocktails. The food at Land and Lake was good, not overly impressive, but a good option and very convenient.

I’d highly recommend this hotel. The staff at check in was so nice and accommodating. The only reason I took a star off is because of the valet charge (we didn’t have a car) and the fact that the food and beverage credit for diamond members was not applied. After two calls the situation was rectified but I wish this never happened because if we didn’t double check the bill, we would have paid those charges. The view from our room was exceptional and the rooftop was nice. The location is in walking distance to a lot of stores and attractions. I’d highly recommend London house. I will be staying here again.

If I visited Chicago again, I would certainly stay here again. It's located in a great area where everything is downtown. There's also a restaurant attached with a great brunch menu, but the only vegan option is a salad. The oatmeal is made with dairy, so BEWARE! The rooms are kept clean and tidy, loved the rooftop bar, and the lobby lounge area. The bartenders at the lobby bar were THE BEST! Very personable. Also, our room had a great view.

Very nice hotel. Perfect central location, walkable to everywhere, great restaurants all around, close to the house of blues. VERY clean rooms, friendly and funny staff, great river view. Only complaint is the $80 valet parking charge on top of an already premium room cost. Overall will go back (just might park across the street for $19).

I enjoyed my stay at the London house, the people that worked there were courteous and respectful. They did an awesome job with quick service to help people. The servers at the high tea were super knowledgeable and personable, plus there was so much to eat there. I enjoyed the views from the rooftop deck and from high tea. The only downside was the bedding, the sheets were a little bit restrictive when being moved and there was a slight odor in the room after taking a shower. Other than that, it was a great experience.
