My only negative about this hotel was the room size. I read the reviews but was still taken aback when I first opened my room door. If you’re traveling light not so bad but if you have 4 or 5 bags, good luck. Otherwise I loved everything else: free full breakfast was great, location was perfect, tons of shopping and restaurants nearby, there’s even a cute dispensary directly across the street if you’re into that, service was good, room was very clean. I enjoyed my stay. Edited to add that it took a full 30 days to get my deposit back. So plan on that if you plan on staying here.

My sisters and I came here to enjoy our sister time and we had problems checking in, and then the room and bathroom for 3 people were so small we felt like we were at a motel!!! We had no microwave or refrigerator!

Nicely nestled in the middle of town so you can walk to most anywhere. But the rooms are like a shoebox, nothing like pictured. Had to move rooms just so my wife and I weren't squished together the whole time. The staff was very nice though. But we were also asked to put down a $100 deposit for our stay. We didn't see anything about this anywhere. We reluctantly did but it's been a month after our trip and 3 phone calls and two fake "we manually released it, it will be to you in 3-5 business days" later and we STILL HAVNT GOTTEN THAT MONEY BACK. Overall. The staff is nice, the hotel is nice. But the rooms are closet sized and they will steal $100 from you.

Please use courtesy with your customers calling the front desk directly or don't provide the front desk number within the app. It leads customers to believe they will get a live person. I tried for 10 days to reach someone at the front desk and it takes you through a voice tree each time. Choose 3 for the front desk. It will ring and they will pick it up and immediately place you on hold without speaking to you. Earlier today they even picked up the phone and waited a few seconds before placing me on hold because I could hear them talking to another customer. I did send an email to the hotel from within the app but so far no answer. I have been a traveler for work for over 10 years and I frequently travel and this is probably one of the worst things to do for your customers. At least answer the phone and ask customers to hold beforehand. I canceled the reservation and I am staying at a Marriott a couple of blocks away instead. I was immediately able to get to their front desk by phone and ask the questions that I wanted to ask.

I enjoyed my 1 nite here. The breakfast was good. Yes, the room is small but okay for 1 person and it was spotless. My only complaint is the doors close automatically (see pic). So, I'd be relaxing at nite watching great tv, when I hear a door in hallway banging shut by neighbors coming and going 😱. At one point my coffee spilled on my shirt cause noise startled me.😵‍💫. I noticed an extra $100 was charged on my card. Hopefully, it'll turn back up after a day or so.🤞 I'll update when I know.

Staff is amazing! Yes, it is a building that is over 100 years old so the rooms are small but IHG has remodeled it and everything is up to date and clean. It is in a perfect location and close to everything. I stayed for a night as I live in the burbs and had to be in the office really early so decided to stay in the city. Perfect if you are looking for a bed, shower and free breakfast and you want to explore the city.

Be Leary of staying here, they will try to double charge you for your stay!! Checked in on 5/22 and was charged for the stay plus an additional refundable charge of 100 for incidentals which is normal. On 5/24 was charged an additional 368.00 . When asked the desk attendant about this he stated he had no reason and gave me a card of someone that could help. When asked for the manager on duty he stated the wasn't one. Waited some time and then asked another attendant for assistance. She stated that she was sorry but all she knew how to do was check people in and check people out. When asked to speak with a maker she stated that they were supposed to be in at 8 but was not there yet. Waited until 830 but the manager had not shown up and had not called so she had no answer. Had to fly home s left. Upon arriving home I made contact with a manager. When questioned the charge she replied that the charge was for the last night of the stay.. When told her the trip was already paid for. The reply was that they charge each night individually. That was not true because there was no charge for 5/23. When asked her about this I was put on hold. 30 minutes later she returned to the phone saying that the was new software and the hotel was in transition to a new staff and management. She the then said that she would give a 20% discount on the stay. I told her that wasn't the intention but to have the charges for the extra nights taken away. The funds have still not returned to the bank account. We have had to open an investigation and file a complaint with Holiday Inn Express corporate office along with IHG Hotel group. The hotel is small but nice. Rooms are small but clean and fresh. The location is wonderful and close to everything. The service and professionalism of the staff is horrible and shows no interest in making things right. BEWARE!!!

Staff is 10/10. We had a clean nice room and they even opened the doors when you get into the hotel and it was all issue-free. I accidentally left something in the hotel and called and Miss McDuffie went above and beyond and took care of shipping it to me right away (it took less than 30 mins.) THIS is what I call superb Service. Location is perfect, everything is walkable and Public Transport is very close too. All in all, recommend it!
