The Royal Sonesta Chicago River North

We absolutely loved our 5-night stay at the Royal Sonesta River North. Perfect neihbourhood, walking distance to literally everything and some extraordinary restaurants - location is amazing!||Highly recommend this hotel, it’s got great up to date cozy decor. We were welcome with a lovely Happy Annoverrary balloon, bottle of wine, chocolates and a card since we were celebrating our anniversary that weekend and it was our first time to Chicago!||The staff, including Mike, Spiro, the ladies at the front desk and truly all of the security and team at the hotel were so lovely, friendly and helpful all weekend long.||Our room was a suite with a giant hot tub, shower and king bed. Each night they provided turn down with chocolates and always made sure we had fresh water bottles. We found our room a bit dry since the heat was on and they were able to bring us a humidifier.||Each morning they offered coffee and tea in the lounge area and we found the location great, an easy stay with top notch service and all around highly recommend this hotel. We absolutely would stay here again!

Wonderful hotel! Location is great and rooms were lovely. We stayed in the Junior Suite which had plenty room, and the bathrooms were lovely. The staff was very friendly, we got great recommendations from Spiro on where to eat and go for activities. The view from our room was nice, and the rooms can get toasty which is great given the cold Chicago weather. ||Highly recommend this hotel. We didn’t eat breakfast, lunch or dinner at the hotel’s restaurant so can’t speak towards that. Lastly, the neighborhood was pretty quite at night so no late night disturbances.

Spiro was very friendly. The room was great. Jacuzzi tub was amazing...nice and deep. The location was ideal and close to restaurants and shopping. Gym was adequate for a decent workout. The decor of the hotel was very sleek. I also enjoyed the tea room with nice big fireplace and great views of State St. Would definitely stay here again.

I'm not sure there's room for all of my compliments.|The style of this unique boutique hotel is artistic, inviting, charming and clean. The front desk staff couldn't have been more accommodating with friendly smiles at all times. The restaurant attached was equally as wonderful! Spiro, Edgar and Andres were among the friendly staff members that helped us at a whim. The sheets and towels were luxurious! The pool, dreamy. We are going to make this an annual event. We won't even consider a different hotel. The location is perfect, walking distance to Navy Pier, great shopping and restaurants. Thanks to everyone, we were all blown away and can't stop talking about it.

Upon arrival, we waited 30 minutes for valet service. After notifying the front desk at both the 5- and 15-minute marks, we discovered that both attendants were sitting in a car directly in front of us, eating and smoking. When one finally came to retrieve our keys, I politely asked him to wash and sanitize his hands to avoid transferring the smell of smoke into our vehicle. Instead of accommodating this reasonable request, he responded with an attitude, adding another 10-minute delay. This level of service was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

This might be my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment you walk in, the entire place smells amazing—it’s fresh, clean, and adds a luxurious touch to the atmosphere. I wish I had taken more photos because the hotel is stunning, with beautiful decor and an artistic, modern design throughout. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Chicago along the river. It’s within walking distance of the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and countless great restaurants and shops. If you’re looking for a comfortable, stylish hotel in a prime location, the Royal Sonesta Chicago is hard to beat.

My time at the Royal Sonesta was amazing. I went for my birthday and the customer service we were provided by Gabby was outstanding. She gave us complementary wine and upgraded our room for free! She was great and so was the rest of the staff I encountered. The rooms were spot clean, comfortable, and had amazing views. I also want to shout out the location. It’s near restaurants, grocery stores, and right near all the fun shops and museums. I’ll definitely be back!

Edgar at CBR restaurant was so friendly, and they split our plates without us even having to ask. The presentation was lovely. This is our second time staying at this hotel. It’s quiet and the location is great. The floor to ceiling windows and the lux bathrooms are our favorite part.
