Hotel Blake, Ascend Hotel Collection

Really helpful staff, very friendly. I felt welcomed all throughout my stay. The room was much nicer than I expected for the price. We visited Chicago in February and searched for budget accommodations and were pleasantly surprised with Hotel Blake. The room size was good. Lovely view through large windows. Bathroom good. Bed and pillows very comfy. And there was a microwave and fridge - bonus! Bottled water available on request and water in the lobby as well. It's got a cute boutique feel, and the bell person held on to our bags after checkout for no extra cost (we did tip). Walking distance to Union Station, museums, and a bunch of stuff. Next door to a pretty tasty breakfast place. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a very pleasant stay here. The room was very spacious and always clean, the staff was always polite. The room comes standard with a microwave, a coffee maker, a refrigerator and a large flat screen TV. The bed is really big and very comfortable. The surrounding area is easy to explore, as the Loop is about 3 minutes away. Lake Michigan is also only about a 10-minute walk away.

Stayed here for one night while in town for business. Overall, awesome hotel! It’s in a good location, staff was very friendly, the common area was nice, and the room was large, modern, and clean. It is connected to a cafe, and has a gym and vending area. I would highly recommend and stay here again if I am ever back in the area.

Our second time at Blake proved to be just as good as the first. We hustled down late on Christmas Day to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the festive season. Staff was great, hotel was exceptional, and there was good spirit among everyone. We stayed two nights, 3rd Floor south east view and had a blast hitting Miracle Mile, Mil park and eating great food. My 11 year old son, and 12 year old daughter love the Blake. The restaurant on the main floor is excellent and I appreciate the gym and free coffee. There is a 7/11 right next door for aspirin, expensive adult beverages, and antacids. Gino’s East has a location across the street and Starbucks is on the corner. This hotel is well cared for, updated and staffed well. The GM Mike is doing a great job!

Great stay so far. Comfortable room, cleanly and great staff. However, did have a slight complaint with a worker following us into our hotel. I believe he was a doorman and that there was a misunderstanding, but did not love that we were followed by him without his uniform on. Other than that, wonderful stay.

Great location and the staff was wonderful. Hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great place to stay for a good price. I would recommend the Blake hotel to anyone who visits Chicago and wants to save a little money. The staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome.

We've stayed here several times, always very good. This time it was excellent because we were not hassled by the Bluegreen sales team. |Good lights, larger than most refrigerator with a separate freeze compartment. Adequate number of towels. Adequate 120v outlets. Clean room, good service, large room.

Hotel was so nice and chic! We had a great view of city and walkable to many things. The exercise room was nice, and ate breakfast nextdoor at the resteraunt. Michael in bell service was awesome! He was so helpful, told us resteraunts to go to and overall very friendly and making you feel at home!
