Residence Inn Rockford

Extremely outdated. Looks unsafe and sketchy but was a safe area. Was told they replaced and got new locks so gave me an outside scan pass to get in but all the outside doors didn’t shut or lock all the way anyway. The annex I stayed in was very outdated including the hallway. The room itself was nothing special and outdated as well. The tv and table it sits on are directly in front of the thermostat, you have to rotate the tv to get to it. The desk is unusually large for the need. Bathroom very outdated.

The chair at the desk had white stuff on it. Stains or idk what. The freezing didn’t look like it was wiped down the shower also didn’t look like it was clean. The pool. A different story. The salt and chlorine was WAYYY to much. Our skin was so dry and SALTY after. Even after showering twice! They definitely need to text the chemicals in that pool. The reception seemed to have an attitude when we asked her for help getting into the pool. It was just not as a good time as we expected

Looking for a little getaway with the family and chose this hotel because it was close to home and close to Alpine Valley Adventure Park which was the main reason we were traveling. Check in never seems to go easily. Even though my credit card is on file, they werent able to charge to the card on file because they werent "set up" that way. Room was a good size. Keys to get into room never worked great, had to have them reprogrammed multiple time and then eventually replaced. Light in the bathroom didnt work. Toilet was wonky. No dish soap, only soap for diswasher. When I asked for it, was told they didnt have any. Breakfast was limited, very limited. Sunday, breakfast was until 930, but they stopped filling at 9am. 3 pans, 1 had scrambled eggs on 1 side, the other side had bacon. 2nd pan had breakfast sandwiches that never got refilled. 3rd pan, had mini omelettes which never got refilled either. Monday was a bit better, but we went earlier in fear we would get nothing. Pool is ok, but there are a lot of windows so it was very cold. Did not seem as if they heated the area. Parking is $5 per night. WHY is that necessary??? Its Rockford, why am I having to pay for parking!!! This is not the Marriott brand I know. Very disappointing.

Customer service was horrible! The staff has miscommunication with their customers! They charged me for extra nights when i was told i would be getting a refund for one night & i did not need to check out because i was only being charged for what i paid for. At check out it was a whole different story. They hire new people and leave them when they don’t know what they’re doing. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

We had a suite there Saturday September 15. Our air conditioning did not work, the carpet near the closet for the air system was soaking wet. I called the front desk and asked for some one to come look at the unit. No one ever came by. The room never cooled off and it was a very hot day. I spoke to the front desk person k in the morning and asked for a room discount and she said she would have to talk to the manager. No response yet

One night stay for a quick getaway. Very clean studio king with kitchen amenities which was a great surprise. Very good free breakfast. Fantastic price using some Bonvoy points and $68.00 !

They are close to I-39 & the new Hard Rock Casino. The rooms are okay, but the entrance to the West building smells really bad. It's worse than it was 6 months ago.
