Baymont by Wyndham Cedar Rapids

This was a most relaxing stay. The staff were so nice, and very friendly. Our room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. Great place to stay with family or for work. Breakfast was quite adequate. There was a variety of choice to suit most anyone.

This was our second stay at thos hotel and we saw a lot of improvements. The staff was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. The hotel and rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good. We will be back.

The staff were so nice, and very friendly. Our room was nice and clean, we had a Jacuzzi in our room, it was a great way to relax! They had a great breakfast, plenty of choices, fruit,cereals,oatmeal,bagels,muffins,juice,milk,good coffee and the waffles are my favorite.Will definitely stay there again.

Cockroach!!! 🪳 We were driving a few states to see some friends and we're scheduled to stay here. Got checked in and our room was around the corner from the office on the first floor. We unloaded our car and walked down the hall way to the 🚪 and a Cockroach was crawling up the frame! The receptionist checked us right out no questions asked and told us that they spray every month for them. Well it isn't working 😕 So we had to find another hotel at 11:30 pm. Highly disappointed! I wouldn't stay here and would give zero stars if possible.

A 2 star motel, in a great location that facilitates easy access to Iowa City, CID airport and Cedar Rapids. The service was excellent, Brenda(?) At front desk very warm and welcoming and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I would absolutely consider this a good spot to stay for future trips.

Pleasantly surprised with this motel. I got an accessible room and it met the standards, but it still have a tub with high sides. Bed was comfy, staff friendly and helpful, home baked cookies at checkout desk! Continental breakfast was very good and standard and got you going in the morning. Fridge and microwave in the room with coffee maker.

The hotel has apparently been acquired by new owners, they haven’t done any renovations or modifications… yet. The room I got seemed ok other than the musty smell that lingered throughout. The carpet and armchair were stained but the bed was very clean and comfortable. Usual things like TV Fridge and microwave all fine. Bathroom was ok, no plug in the bath or sink obviously penny pinching to save on the water bill. Plenty of nice towels. Coffee maker in room as well as iron/board. I partly booked this hotel because it has a fitness centre with treadmill, bike and elliptical trainer, all broken and inoperable. The reception guy said the new owners hadn’t looked into it yet. This seems to be a common trend as my previous 2 hotels fitness centres were also sub par with broken dated equipment. Anyway, a good nights sleep. Breakfast was the usual continental fare, check in/out was quick and efficient. Parking was good, felt safe, aircon and wifi both good. It’s ok for a 1 night stay.

Well my PSA for the day... Booked a hotel for the night over in Cedar Rapids, IA the Baymont by Wyndham... It took 3 key cards before I could get into the room, when entering the room it smelled like urine and mold.. went back and asked for a different room, it took 2 key cards this time, I barely cracked the door open and wow, it about knocked me over with an undescribable odor. I walked out... The place needs to be closed down... It is the worst of the worst. I give it a minus 5 stars
