Holiday Inn Des Moines-Airport/Conf Center by IHG

Convenient location, across the street from airport. Walking distance. Front desk staff friendly and helpful during checkin and checkout. Room was very nice. Bed was comfortable and I slept through the night. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean, no clutter or used towels anywhere. Hotel was quiet, no kids running around making noise. I will stay here on my next trip. Highly recommend this hotel.

My only suggestion is we were there for a dance competition so we were held to be in the hotel constantly. The food/restaurant hours were not super convenient as it closes during the day and a bit early. The staff everywhere could not have been more friendly and accomodating. The rooms were spacious and clean and we were able to get all of our needs addressed when needed. I am here every year in February and book this as soon as I see the dates. It's my favorite Holiday Inn. The pool area is open and clean and easy to access. My dancers love this area. I love that we have balconies if we get one to see over the pool so older kids can be down there but I can check on them. Thank you so much!

Comfortable bed, great pool, great amenities, room temperature was great! Very clean and a great facility! Just wish there was continental breakfast available. And the elevators were small, squeaky and a little scary, so I took the stairs. I really enjoyed my stay here. Restaurant and bar were fabulous! My room was great! I will stay here again!!! :)

Wonderful hotel near the airport. Called to let them know we would arrive after midnight from a late flight. Very nice when answering the phone. 24 hour free airport shuttle. Welcoming desk attendant. She recognized our IHG member and offered us bottled water in exchange for the free wine or beer offered, due to it being after midnight upon check in. Although rooms are outdated, as it an older hotel, they are meticulously clean! A/C cooled the room off quickly! Bed is comfy! Pillows are fluffy! |We were on the 2nd floor facing the atrium, we heard no noise, even with people out late at the atrium due to a convention. Great hotel!

Hotel was nice. Clean, large room. Front desk & cleaning staff very friendly and accommodating. Airplanes I didn't seem to notice but all the screaming kids from the dance competition was a little loud but not terrible. Enjoyed watching some of the dances for a little different entertainment. Parking was scarce due to dance competition but that is to be expected had I known. Didn't try the food as had limited availability and was usually busy. Will stay again.

The entire stay was not worth it. If you have breakfast included with your stay, make sure that you have them provide you with breakfast tickets for yourself and children because apparently that’s something that you need. I had to go to the desk twice for I don’t know why it wasn’t provided to me to begin with. Not to mention if they have any events conferences, there will be unattended teenagers that will be running around unsupervised. There’s absolutely no security.

My room was very clean and comfortable. Because of a winter storm I arrived in Des Moines a day early and I was concerned that the hotel would not have room for me. The desk staff was fantastic to work with as they were able to adjust my reservation so that I did not have to stay elsewhere for the night or change rooms the next day. I was very pleased with this choice in hotels.

Wonderful greeting upon arrival. 1st floor suite was. worth the price. Breakfast was made fresh each morning. We were there on the weekend and enjoyed the bar in the evening. The funky "Speak Easy" behind the bar was a fun surprise. Oh and what a swimming pool area. We had three families there with a few little one and everyone had a blast. Only thing they could add is electric vehicle charging on site.
