Northern Hotel

The staff was very helpful. The room I had was comfy. The complimentary bathroom soaps and such were very nice. Only suggestion, that the people who clean the rooms turn the hair dryer on at least once a day. I had a terrible time turning it on and off.

Let's start at the beginning, the valet staff is polite, prompt and very courteous. Front desk staff were very helpful, always polite and just friendly! The room was comfortable, well maintained and the climate control was easy to use and quiet. The diner has some of the best breakfast that I have had in a long time. The smothered chicken biscuit is my favorite but my wife loved the lemon blueberry pancakes. The restaurant and lounge TEN was awesome. Great cocktails and amazing food, the lamb meatballs, brussel sprouts, smash burger and hot dog were all AMAZING dishes. Andrew, the bar tender was friendly helpful and very skilled at his craft. The Sidecar was great and so was the Old Fashions. This hotel excelled at making you feel comfrtable and well treated. WE WILL BE BACK!

We hosted a leadership training. The staff were always available, always willing to help on whatever we needed. It was a successful training and part of that was because of the Northern! They also took great care of our team members who came from out of town.

I returned to The Northern Hotel for Thanksgiving week this year and was very happy I chose this splurge. The front desk showed me a couple rooms on the highest floor and I chose room 1004. The evening lighting in my room was lovely and the morning views outside the large south and east facing windows were incredible. I hung out at the Ten bar two evenings and got excellent craft cocktails from the talented mixologist. Other times I went to the great coffee shops and restaurants a short walk away from the Northern.|There were a couple small service glitches but the beds are still super comfortable, the room cleaners did an excellent job, and the parking valets were very convenient. They are not the cheapest but The Northern is clearly the best hotel in Billings. I am very happy about my stay. I'll be back.

UPDATE: We were kicked out for having sex to loud. Don't book your honeymoon suite there. They call the cops.... Also, I had lost my ring that is very expensive and very special to me in their establishment they call a hotel. They were asked three times on three different days, but said no ring had been turned in. They are thieves as well. For those who are reading this and are thinking there was probably more to it than what im reporting here. We'll, there isn't. We were literally in the middle of having sex when the cops knocked on the door. Never have I been treated so badly in my life. We were kicked out of the motel (and yes I say "motel" not "hotel") because we were trying to have a good time, if you know what I mean, and the person next to us called the cops because we were being "too loud." We were not even given a warning that they were upset. There wasn't a warning call or anything. Apparently their policy is to immediately call the cops. Had we known, we would have immediately quieted down. But no, the cops WERE CALLED! Who does that without at least a warning!! The Northern, thats who! I do not recommend them at all. Also their rooms are small for the price. No mini fridge or microwave. And it's a nightmare to get to your room!. The elevators were not working, so getting from the parking garage to our room on the 8th floor was not at all convenient. And they don't explain how to even get from the parking garage to the motel Again, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hell hole! It was just a nightmare!

The rooms at this location are quite small. That said, it was very clean and comfortable to stay in. Room service... it's expensive, and they add a 20% gratuity without telling you when you order. I tip very well, but don't particularly like being forced to tip. It's effectively an upcharge. The burger was very undercooked. Their French fries are decent. You can't beat the location. There's a fantastic restaurant that is easy walking distance away called Jake's downtown. The Theatre is walking distance. It's a fantastic location.

I recently stayed at the northern hotel for a business trip and they took very good care of me made me feel very comfortable and special there services they provide are excellent from opening the door for me when going in to even their room services very quick room and left my room very clean

Awesome experience to stay here, the rooms are great, the service is great. The diner downstairs Bernie’s is also amazing!
