★★★★★I found the front desk staff very helpful knowledgeable of the area and friendly. Cindy at the front desk is a fan of Yellowstone and is great at sharing her experiences. Cousin and his teenage son and I had 2 rooms for 6 nights while snowmobiling in and around the park. The morning breakfast was helpful at getting us on our way early each day. The maintenance staff was great at keeping snow around the parking area clear. No small job. Between the two rooms we misplaced our room keys a couple times. Those snowmobile suits have a lot of pockets. Put the front desk was quick to fix things. Recommend great restaurants for dinner. Snowmobile parking including trailers was close and plentiful. I hope to return again soon.

NillI booked my room for this upcoming April. I received an email the next day from them just letting me know that the entrance to West Yellowstone will not be open during this time, which was the main reason why we booked this place. I truly, truly do appreciate that they were proactive and very kind to let me know that upon my lack of research. I will be staying with them in the future when I come back through West Yellowstone. The communication was above and beyond and very gracious. Thank you so much.

NillIt’s an older hotel and reasonably well maintained. Clean and very functional. It’s not fancy but the location is excellent and there is plenty of parking for snowmobile trailers in back. Excellent service at a great price. We do several trips here every year and have never been disappointed.

NillThis is a locally owned hidden gem. I have stayed in West Yellowstone many times. How did I miss this place? I will try to stay here from now on. The rooms are super clean and the furniture is vintage and made of real wood. Breakfast selection was fantastic especially for the GF lodger. They have an extensive postcard selection in the lobby! The hosts are super friendly. I definitely recommend the Branding Iron Inn!

NillI don't get some of the low reviews of this place. For the price, you can't beat the Brandin' Iron. So close to the West Entrance of Yellowstone! Clean and comfy rooms. The heat worked well in my room as it got pretty chilly at night. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the free breakfast. The quality was lacking and it was too crowded in the breakfast room. However, the main thing I cared about was the room and it was spotless, plenty big, and had everything I needed. I was able to park right outside my room each night. Check in and check out was a breeze. I would 10/10 stay here again!

★★★★★We loved this motel in West Yellowstone! We wanted to stay in a smaller, local (non-chain) hotel and this fit the bill. Front desk staff were a pleasure to meet and chat with, room was immaculate & bed comfortable, and breakfast was better than the usual and staffed with super friendly people. They also had a good off-season rate. Was also an easy walk down the street to numerous restaurants still open in late October.

★★★★★I stayed here for my trip to Yellowstone in mid October 2024. ||Positives: Location was superb. You can be to the park gates in about 2 minutes. You are also walking distance to just about any store or restaurant in West Yellowstone. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The heat worked well as the nights were very chilly. Housekeeping was done each and every day (which is not so common anymore). Shower temp and pressure were good. Plenty of coffee supplies were provided. There was also a nice desk to use and the TV was adequate. ||Negatives: I didn’t care for breakfast and it was very crowded so I opted for the Running Bear Pancake House, a short drive away.||100% I would stay here again and make this my base for exploring Yellowstone.

NillThe Brandin' Iron Inn was like a home away from home! Immaculately clean, and the beds were so comfortable! Outstanding staff from the front desk, to housekeeping. Great location near entrance to park, and a short walk to all restaurants & shopping in this adorable throwback town. This is the place to stay when in West Yellowstone! Can't imagine staying anywhere else our next time visiting.
