Super 8 by Wyndham Grand Island South

I was not so sure about staying here on our last night of a Nebraska trip to see the Sandhill Crane migration, but I have to say it was just fine. Check-in was friendly, professional and easy; the room was spotless and quiet (would be even better if there were a place to hang coats and clothing); and the breakfast was what to be expected (I just had coffee and ate later in Lincoln). Very quiet evening, no doors slamming, no loud neighbors. The best part for this birder? Waking up to a view of a lovely pond and waterfowl from my second-floor windows.

Very clean and quiet. We had to get my sons dog into the animal hospital and needed a room to spend the night. The staffs genuine kindness and warm reception was a balm to the stressful day we were trying to deal with. Thankyou for helping us cope with a difficult family emergency.

It was great experience. The room was better than I expected. The Wi-Fi is automatically connected, not even a password needed. The receptionist, I think she is the owner also, was extremely courteous and helpful. I even lost my key card during refueling and getting some food from nearby store. This bothered me a lot, since it jeopardizes hotel security, but she assured me that this is OK and will take the required steps for safety, then she provided me with another keycard. They Even accommodate my screw up. I have no problem providing ID cards, just providing my phone number, because I am a recurring customer. I am traveling a lot and Super 8 is my first choice. The guy up front was super nice and quick even with me checking in at almost midnight. They allow dogs for only 15 a night and the rooms I guess got remodeled they look great mattress looked brand new. There's a body of water right behind where you can go to hang out or open your window to and it's beautiful. My doggy approves also. Breakfast was pretty good too, didn't have everything but had cereal, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. Editing to say that I stayed a second time last weekend. This time was not as pleasant. I was put in a room on the second floor this time and the sink was peeling, stuff wasn't stocked like tissues, the hair dryer didn't work, got a new one and had to plug it into a different outlet to get it to work making us late for a funeral. The alarm clock was also broken it kept buzzing and I had to unplug it from the wall to sleep. But despite all that I still love that it's on the water and the mattress seemed brand new like the last time and my favorite kind of hotel pillows.

Came to visit family in town and decided to stay here because the price was very fair compared to some of the other hotels in town. When checking in the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and respectful which I appreciated and I asked if I could have a room facing the water and they were able to accommodate me. The view of the lake was very nice and the rooms newly remodeled they looked very nice and well worth the price of the stay! They had breakfast in a room they said had recently been added which was very clean and organized and had decent options for a super 8. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in town!!

Positive: Breakfast was good very nice quiet felt safe like there is like lake/ fishing pond where our room was back they had a water cooler where I could cold fresh water out of the water tank Negative: Not really just breakfast was a tad bit to early,? Try like from 6:45 till 9:45

Good: Clean and spacious. Service & price good. Bad: Really, really loud location. Hard beds and pillows. A/C was making a clicking noise. Neither one of us slept. Can't review the breakfast since we left early, disgusted, searching for a good rest at the next stop.

Amazing. I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago when it was a Rhodeway inn. That review was not so good. This place has been renovated and looks amazing. The man at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. They have a full breakfast bar. Super 8 style. I highly recommend this place and I will for sure stay here again.
