Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and I had high hopes for my stay. I got breakfast room service two mornings and had quick service. I didn’t have issues with noise like others mentioned. My one major issue was the bed. The bed didn’t have a fitted sheet but instead a flat sheet on a mattress. I thought that was odd but then notes that what I assumed was a clean, white duvet cover on the bed was actually an old white comforter (that should be inside of a duvet cover and I assume is not washed) with a flat sheet over it. It was the most bizarre bedding I have ever experienced and I’ve slept in some sketchy places in my day. I thought it was a mistake so I waited to see if it would be rectified when housekeeping came but nope… they just made the bed with the same inappropriate bedding. Very weird place to skimp at an otherwise very swanky hotel. Kimpton, for the love of the lamb, please buy fitted sheets and a duvet cover. It is literally less than $20 at Walmart.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cottonwood Hotel in Omaha, Nebraska, and it truly exceeded all our expectations! One of our favorite features was the Cottonwood Bar, where the ambiance perfectly complemented the hotel's unique style. The lobby bar’s free cocktail hour was a fantastic bonus, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. Mornings were equally impressive, with complimentary coffee and tea waiting to kickstart the day. The hotel’s rich history shines through its original 1920 tile work, which, combined with the cozy fireplaces, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly feels like home. With its perfect blend of historic charm, modern comforts, and top-notch hospitality, we can confidently say that we will never stay anywhere else. The Cottonwood Hotel is an absolute gem! From the moment I pulled up, the valet service was top-notch. Sam was incredibly welcoming and efficient. I barely had to pull into the circle before one of the team members greeted me with a smile and offered to help with my luggage. It might seem like a small thing, but after a long day of travel, that kind of attentiveness really stood out.

Camden was a great valet. We come all the time. Lance in the Orleans room is a pleasure and anyone should go for lunch or a nice brunch. Ask for lance and really just anyone in the hotel. We have been over 20 times and it never fails that we enjoy ourselves.

The hotel stay itself was very nice. However, I had to call back in to the hotel after check out when I received the bill for charges made during our stay. Turns out we were charged for 3 nights of valet service that we never used. The reason given was that another guest had the same last name. I'm happy the issue was resolved, but this seems like a serious flaw in their valet system. I would imagine guests are often staying at the hotel with identical last names.

Obsessed with the Cottonwood out of all the Kimptons I’ve stayed at. Increeeeedibly gorgeous, full of plants and lovely people. Beautiful, spacious room. Shoutout to the sweet front desk staff and shoutout to the valet team (Cecil, Camden, Joe, and Sam) as we interacted with them all at various times and they were so on point with timing, helping us with our stuff, and were super friendly and polite.

The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel is hands-down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are beautiful, and the service is top-notch. A special shoutout to CJ, the valet driver – he always has my car ready right when I get downstairs and truly cares about making my stay enjoyable. His attention to detail and kindness really make a difference. I can’t recommend this place enough – it’s my go-to hotel in Omaha!

The hotel was in top shape and standards. The staff was courteous and prompt in service. The food was amazing and ambience beautiful. We plan on returning in the future to make it a annual trip for our family. We look forward to booking the Presidential Suite next visit as we would like to experience it.|Vallet service from Sam, Cecil, Joe and Camden was prompt and top notch
