Candlewood Suites Omaha - Millard Area by IHG

We checked into to our room to find our ice maker had what looked to be an exploded soda residue that was not cleaned, our toaster had dirty, buttery finger smudges in the front of it so it was not wiped down and cleaned, the pitcher in the fridge had a crack in it so we couldn't use that, the shower head had build up on it and didn't look like it was cleaned very well, could even plug the kitchen sink as the rubber stopper seemed to be glued down to the cupboard floor board. Then in our sons room he checked in and under his kitchen sink the trash bin under there had a bag with at least 2 dirty diapers and wipes still in it so I let the front desk guy know about that. The cleaning job doesn't seem to be that great here at this property. We did like having a full size fridge, the staff were very friendly and we had access to washer and dryer as our power was out for 3 days and we had knowhere else to go other hotels were sold out. Cleaning the rooms and making sure all items are clean and usable needs to be a better priority.

We stayed for one night passing through town. Parking is good for cars; not sure it would be as easy with a trailer or moving truck.||Front desk staff were great - very friendly, especially to the dog (which we appreciate!). They were also celebrating the 8th anniversary of the opening, and had cupcakes in the lobby.||The rooms were a bit dated … the first room we were given had a broken window, so we were moved to a second room down the hall. The second room had a window that would close (although it may still have had a broken latch), however there was no coffee pot or garbage disposal.

We were in the long term power outage after the blizzard. Once it was in the 40s inside our home during the day, we had to do something... Finding a place for all of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog) to be comfortable during this "bonding" time was not easy. So blessed to stumble on Candlewood Suites! Location was amazing, close to resturants, stores... and the suite was like an apartment so we could have some space, stay warm, relax, and even enjoy a warm cooked meal. Front desk staff (esp the morning crew!) Was so amazing, the guy who checked us in and out was incredible. He deserves a raise :) so kind, helpful, and even gave our pup some loving, who was out of his element and didn't know what was going on. Highly recommend, hopefully this never happens again, but if it does, I know where we will be staying.

We felt very welcome. The whole staff in general had a great service. They were responsive to any question and took care of us our needs with no issues. Very relax and comfortable to stay.

The value this IHG property offers is above many I have stayed at. The team is super friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel at home. The hotel is super clean and the team is on top of every detail. The hotel is located close to everything including highways and the downtown area. Something as simple as their fresh brewed coffee in the morning makes this hotel a must stay for anyone traveling for work or fun. It is pet friendly!

My 8 week stay for work could not have been better. I typically struggle with finding a long term stay that offers cleanliness, service and amenities I need for the length of time I need. This location offered them all above and beyond my expectations and my experience. Not to mention the value for what is offered here. I highly recommend this location for all of your personal and professional travel. And yes super pet friendly! Thank You!

Decent place. Honestly it was well worth the money for the room I had and really enjoyed the stay. The room was clean there was free laundry at the hotel which was nice. The tv sucked though. You had it on all night it would be fine but as soon as you started watching it in the morning it would start timing down to turn off with no way to stop it garbage.

Rooms are great. Host was kind of apprehensive. Didn't want to give me my company discount. Said it may get adjusted. If adjusted to a higher rate, I'll find another hotel.
