Wingate by Wyndham Canton/Hall of Fame

I reserved the jacuzzi room. Upon arrival at 4:30 pm I was told that he don’t know it was reserved so he don’t know if my room is ready. HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW. Your jobs is to Handel the reservations. Now mind you check in starts at 3. This older man was very harsh and nasty. Acted like it was an inconvenience to do his job. Finally got to my room and was very disappointed. The room was dirty. There was something white on the counter and floor. The flip lock was broke. Could not get ahold of the front desk to fix it. So I put the coffee table in front of the door. There was left over food in the room. Tape all over the walls. The sidewalks were never shoveled. So you were walking on ice. The back of the remote was held together with painters tape. There was kids toys left behind. There was a wall tack that was on the floor. Good thing I had my tennis shoes on. It was loud but I can’t complain about that. Just about all hotels are noisy. It is located in a nice area. I enjoyed the jacuzzi tub (main reason for the room). It was nice the tub was a little dinged up, but what do you expect with that. The water was hot. Not cold Not warm. It was nice having that hot bath.

I booked a whirlpool room w King bed and pull out couch for two adults n my two children. Upon arrival the man at the desk was not very friendly. When we entered the room I checked first thing if the whirlpool worked, it did. But the whirlpool was completely disgusting! Hair stuck in the filters, black ring around the tub and other debris of sorts in the tub as well and it didn't want to drain. I found an old used bottle of cassamigo, no lines for the pull out couch, the shower water did not get hot. The whole stay was just a huge disappointment and the staff did nothing to fix anything that was wrong. They simply don't care and blame it on not having enough housekeeping. I don't expect to come to a hotel and have to clean my room before relaxing which is what we had to do unfortunately.

This is my little hideaway. The service and location is great for what I need. If I ever have an issue with a room due to technical difficulties they are more than happy to accommodate. I always check to make sure toilets flush, there's no issues with the beds, the fridge and microwave work. And of course I look for any of the repulsive stuff like mold, bedbugs, etc. There are no hidden fees. The staff is very friendly. It's in a safe location. If you're lucky you can see some deer. I travel when I can and have been to Kentucky, Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, etc. This is probably one of the better places to stay on a budget.

Double double Room is very large. And spacious. Beds and pillows are comfortable breakfast was decent. Waffles cereal muffins yogurt hard boiled eggs and microwaveable breakfast sandwiches. ||The pool room was freezing, water was warm but not enough to keep you warm. The safety lock on the door stuck straight out all the time. I almost caught my eye on it several times. Tv remote didn’t work

It's always a pleasure when I come. The staff is so polite I never have a problem getting anything I need extra. My husband loves the free breakfast in the morning. The pool area is clean me and my husband enjoy our stay Everytime we come.

Positive: Location Negative: Hottub was not working, a board overtop. 1st room had black mold & ceiling spots missing in shower fan not working, Breakfast minimal. ANTS!! Got into food would not replace items changed our room but had to throw food away! Said discount next time..no.

Positive: The location was just outside the chaos of traffic, but within minutes of so much to do, see and entertain. Negative: Where to start...Vending machines broken. Hallways smelled like mold. Swimming pool was warm, but the entire swimming pool room, from floor to ceiling, was wet, dripping and rusted from years of neglect. Staff? Never saw them. Not even for trash pickup.

The room was filthy!! There was mold and bugs in the room. We asked for towels so we could check out the pool… never got those. We went to our car and there were people breaking into the hotel through windows. We went back to our room and checked our windows and they would not latch or lock. Spoke to front desk, they blew us off. Called Wyndham and told them we were leaving EARLY and the issues. I called Wyndham today and asked when do they step in as the hotel falls short of what Wyndham claims the standards are. The lady kept over talking me and told me because they would not be refunding me that I was trying to lie which was not the case. They also said people wouldn’t believe that the pictures came from my hotel stay… needless to say I will not be booking with Wyndham ever again!
