The hotel itself is located in a great location with plenty of things to do including shopping and restaurants. The room was in decent shape and we enjoyed that it had a kitchen with a large fridge, sink, microwave, and dishwasher. There are dishes located in the room for you to use. Some cleanliness problems but nothing major. The hot breakfast was extremely good and the staff did a good job keeping the food stocked. Plenty of seating in the lobby. Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate for the kids. One major drawback was the pool. The pool itself was dirty and FREEZING. Like almost an ice bath, my kids could only tolerate being in the pool for about 30 minutes at a time. There is no hot tub to warm up in which is another drawback. We called to see if they could turn the temperature up but they couldn’t. It’s also a salt water pool which we prefer.

Great experience I actually first booked a room at the Hilton directly across the street. I checked out because the rooms were not in great shape! I came into home 2 suites and I loved it ! The rooms were so roomy! Very clean and updated.

I wanna tip my Hat to a young Lady that works Mornings. Teresa. She is an angel in the hospitality industry. Always welcomes me every morning with a warm smile and a hot cup of coffee. She goes above and beyond to accommodate every guest. She is a true token to Hilton. And I hope they treat her as such.

I was going to only give 4 stars since there was no warning the on-site bar is only there for “decoration” as stated by the desk clerk. We were directed to walk down to their other hotel and use that hotel’s bar. This was not convenient in our opinion & we expected this amenity to be available on-site as stated on their website. The rooms are nice, good pillows (although we always bring our own), and the mattress was okay. The towel hooks in the bathroom are falling off the wall, so maintenance definitely needs to address that. The carpets in the hallways need a good cleaning or many of the blocks replaced. The elevators need a good cleaning also. Breakfast is typical hotel breakfast, nothing great, but not terrible. We made use of the bar “decoration” for breakfast both days we were there and noticed on both days the bar stools were never moved to sweep the floor below, which is covered in crumbs from previous guests, so that needs addressed. We were going to purchase drinks from the pantry, but noted the drinks were very expired. The provided outside grills are the most disgustingly, filthy grills we’ve ever laid eyes on. We expect these simple things to be on par when paying for what should be a decent hotel. So while these issues were disappointing, we’ve decided on giving them 5 stars anyway. The staff members are all very nice (albeit they need to address the above issues by taking a little more pride in their work), but even more importantly, very honest. A few hours after checkout, my husband realized he had left his high dollar watch in the room. He called and they let him know they did have it. So while I do feel they should have contacted us beforehand, we were very thankful the staff were honest and had put the watch aside. It is because of the honesty of the hotel staff that we will definitely return when in the area and look forward to seeing the issues above addressed by then. In conclusion, come for the convenient location, not for the on-site bar, come for the great personalities of their staff and most importantly their honesty and not for their ability to sweep the crumbs, clean carpets or repair towel hooks or cleaned grills. Haha, and btw go to Nagoya for great drinks or amazing hibachi!

Over charged. Charges were made to our credit card anywhere from double charging to triple charge. We were lied t o several times about the charges. The managers could not keep their stories straight. They both told different stories. On the bright side the lady in charge of house keeping was wonderful. Still trying to get the over charges off credit card. RUN

The hotel was in a great location. Lots of places to walk to right outside the hotel and plenty of parking. The rooms were huge and extremely clean! I love the full refrigerator and kitchenette. The beds could be softer but overall it's a great place to stay.

The sister hotel to the Hilton Garden Inn that shows wear but overall was a better hotel than the HGI. I was at the H2S for a week with two weeks at the HGI. The hotel showed wear in the carpets, doorways and public areas. The room was large with enough space to spread out, the smart TV was large and the beds were in good shape. There are numerous restaurants in the area and plenty of walking trails for exercise. Downside with Home2Suite is Hilton shorts you on points when you stay. One nice opportunity was catching a double rainbow after a day of rain.

My room was infested with bed bugs. I woke up and felt some bug bites along my arm, so I got up and turned the light on... there were about 10 bed bugs crawling on my pillow and in my sheets. I checked out and spent the day at the laundromat. Hopefully the heat was enough to kill anything that may have gotten into my clothes. I travel to the Toledo area a lot for work and I have always had a great experience staying at Home2 in Perrysburg. After everything I had to go through, I will not be staying there again.
