Hayward Inn

I recently stayed here for 8 nights and was thrilled with the entire experience. My room was large with 2 comfortable queen beds, more storage room than I could use, modern large bathroom and nice amenities like microwave, coffee maker with supplies, mini fridge, beauty aids and so on. But best of all, everything was Very Very clean. I'm extremely picky about hotel room cleanliness and I had zero complaints the entire stay. There were also exceptional breakfast options and a well-stocked store. Last but not least, the staff earns high praise! Everyone working there was attentive, Genuinely friendly and helpful to everyone around them. They made my stay so relaxing and pleasant. Misleading, Inaccessible, and Not Worth the Price My recent stay at The Hayward Inn was nothing short of a disappointment. This property is falsely advertised as ADA-compliant, yet the building I stayed in had no elevator—a major oversight for a hotel claiming accessibility. This isn’t a newly built hotel, just an over-glorified Best Western that has been poorly remodeled with little thought to guest comfort. The so-called “River View” was nothing more than a “Creek View”—another misleading marketing tactic. While the view itself was decent, it was far from what was advertised and certainly not worth the inflated pricing. Beyond the structural and advertising issues, the customer service was abysmal. They do not offer early check-in or late check-out, yet check-in was painfully slow due to inadequate staffing. The front desk seemed completely unprepared for guests, with no extra towels or pillows available. Any simple request was met with indifference and a lack of understanding—a clear sign of poor management and training. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money. Between the lack of accessibility, misleading descriptions, and subpar service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you expect even basic hospitality standards.

This place was wonderful to stay at for the Ducks v Buckeyes game in the beginning of the year, super close game & the Ducks won but the Buckeyes got the last laugh at the end of the year winning the Natty! But the Hayward Inn was packed & everyone around there was friendly & a joy to be around. The rooms were comfy & spacious to be in. The area was beautiful to walk around. At the end of the game, we spent some time in the lobby bar, which was packed & had a super charged atmosphere after the game. The lobby bar was furnished & full of Duck logos. The drinks were flowing & the food was on point. Wonderful place to stay at & we had a joyful time in Eugene.

Had a good stay at this hotel. Well lit parking lots and pretty good amenities as well. The only thing that did not meet my expectations are overripe apples and bananas; and the sausages on the breakfast buffet, they are way too salty. Other than that, everything else was pretty decent. Hopefully my next stay will have a five star review.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of It all!! As someone who lives in Eugene, I enjoy the occasional escape by staying at local hotels. After my first stay at Hayward Inn, I was completely hooked, and it has become my go-to place for a getaway. During the holidays, my family visits from California, and they bring their dog along. They share the same sentiments about this place—it truly feels like a home away from home. The staff here are extremely considerate and accommodating, always going out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night’s sleep. Another highlight is the breakfast, which is a huge bonus with its variety and quality. The hotel’s restaurant and bar have recently opened, adding even more convenience and enjoyment to our stays. Plus, there’s an indoor pool, which makes it perfect for relaxation any time of the year. The private balcony is another feature I love—it's perfect for enjoying some quiet time and taking in the surroundings. Being right in the heart of everything, the location is simply unbeatable. Hayward Inn has set a high standard, and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else now. Highly recommend!

No complaints. The room was comfortable. The room was in the main building, so do be aware they have a lot of rooms that would require you to walk outside to get to breakfast. Breakfast was typical but no issues. This place was worth the extra money compared to the hotels around it.

This is a very nice hotel. It has the most comfortable sheets and pillows. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and the amenities were great! This was about the most upscale hotel you could have without being snooty! Can’t say enough nice things!

It's not often you get an experience these days that is truly WOW worthy. Jenn and the rest of the staff @ Hayward Inn were absolutely amazing. I made my reservation with an online travel site... Not realizing it was for the wrong date! The front desk was super accommodating and managed to squeeze us in to a better room than we had booked at the SAME PRICE. And then when I needed help with the cancellation of the wrong day reservation, they went above and beyond to provide all the info I needed and make it a breeze. I don't think I've ever had an interaction at a hotel before where EVERY person I spoke with was pleasant, helpful and had a smile on their face. Also, great breakfast, awesome gym.
