Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton La Grande

Newly open, so it was obviously very clean and smelled great. The bathrooms are spacious and well laid out. We didn’t use the pool or any other amenities, but they looked nice. The breakfast was very nice with lots of options and quality foods. The waffle station with strawberry sauce was a hit with my daughter. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed the first night it was open and overall a quality new construction hotel. There was a great need for a hotel like this in La Grande. Workout facility is not 24/7 which is interesting and neither is the pool but the area is indoor and nice. Online they are not accepting Hilton corporate rates which makes it a rather expensive place to stay. Overall worth it compared to the other surrounding hotels. I believe they accept pets for a high fee. I wish it was made clear during check-in there would not be the signature breakfast Hampton is known for and charged for in the morning so that I could plan to eat elsewhere and account for that when planning my morning. Beware hot breakfast may not be served and they will give you a brown paper sack breakfast with no credit / compensation. Another interesting deal is they charge a $100 deposit on your credit card when they have your credit card and will bill all damages so why is there such a high deposit on a credit card?

Hotel is brand new but the owner must be a cheap skate. Can't put your thermostat below 68. They say free wifi but that's only for standard messaging. You have to pay an extra fee to get any kind of internet that you can stream movies on or do anything else. Staff at the front desk didn't seem to know what they were doing at check in. Took 20 minutes just to get checked in. Definitely not worth the amount of money it costs to stay here.

This is a new hotel as of 2024. Great place. Just what you would expect from a Hilton. One big drawback is the bathroom lights. There is only one light switch and it is motion activated so when you get up in the night it turns in the overhead as well and the vanity lights. This is a huge problem for a place you are trying to sleep at.

Everything is new and fresh and perfect. Front desk was helpful and funny. We will definitely be staying be here again and again on the drive from Salt Lake to Portland.

Nothing to state that they were not yet open and cars were parked in the parking lot but the doors were locked before 11pm. Lady on the phone was also unhelpful and condescending, acting like I wasn’t even at a Hampton Inn that I must have been at another location. Ghetto.
