★★★★★We regularly drive between Portland and Idaho, and most often make the west to east a two day trip depending on our departure time. This and the Gieser Grand Hotel in Baker are no question the best hotels between Hood River and Boise. The Landing’s local owners have created a quaint old west experience with a great first floor restaurant, living room, and bar surrounding the staircase to the upstairs four renovated rooms. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms fresh and clean, and the service upstairs and down was excellent.

NillDined with delightful people from the local hospital. The other entrees and appetizers looked amazing. The hummus tray was delicious! I'd love to return and try other dishes. Very polite services. Impressive Old Fashioned although I didn't drink it. I asked the bourbon that is used. Buffalo Trace!👏 As a Kentuckian that is impressive!😁 Currently navigating alpha gal,and this team accommodated. The mammalian foods like steak and the bacon goat cheese appetizer as well as the buttered toasty bread with incredible looking cheese would make this a definite restaurant to visit once well and eating more typically! Thank you!

NillThe room is very large with plenty of space. Unfortunately being on the lower level I could hear the guests walking around above me (floors are very creaky due to the buildings age) The windows on the door in front of the bed had windows with tint but i was able to see in. I called, and Mkayla was able to tape paper over the windows to help with privacy. The shower and bathroom were spacious and beautiful, but unfortunately, there was no body wash available for use...the container was empty, and when i travel, i dont take my own due to getting custom to having them provided when i stay in hotels. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows not so much. I was super disappointed and concerned with how dirty the white comforter on the bed was. There were lots of questionable stains and appeared unwashed. I sent an email and a txt in regard to my concerns just in case there was a lack of awareness with the rooms upkeep. I never received a response.

NillWe had a great time at the Landing Hotel! Very quaint, comfortable beds, delicious farm to table restaraunt downstairs and yummy coffee / breakfast across the street in the morning. It’s quiet, with a lovely area for reading and relaxing. Highly recommend a stay if you’re passing through La Grande!

NillMy stay here was absolutely fabulous! This was my second work trip to La Grande and if I'm ever back I will absolutely stay here again. Much better than the other hotel options in town. The bed was extremely comfortable! The location cannot be beat - you can walk to all the fun places! The shower worked super well. I loved the provided noise machine for sleeping - I never had any issues with it being too noisy to sleep. It was a bit difficult to maintain a cool enough temperature for myself for sleeping but I was also there during a very warm spell! I do not hold that against them at all. Check in and check out were a breeze - it does feel a bit odd going into a restaurant to get to your room but you're in the right place! On top of all of that the complimentary wine in the afternoons was greatly appreciated. I also highly recommend checking out the local across the street (owned by the same people) - they have great breakfast options and a wonderful patio to sit at.

NillA must stay if you are ever in the La Grande area and need accommodations. What a gem! My husband and I, plus teen daughter stayed in an upstairs room that was actually two rooms with a shared bathroom - one with a king bed and the other with a queen. The beds were so comfortable. Everything was very clean and uncluttered, with all the basic amenties needed. We had drinks and relaxed in the downstairs restaurant. The drinks (were great as was the atmoshere) before heading out to dinner. Which was a mistake, as we should have just eaten at The Laurel. Small menu, but from what we saw of the appetizers and dinners as we were sipping our drinks, it looked soooooo much tastier than we ended up with. It was quiet despite being on a main road. The other rooms looked to all be booked, but we never heard or saw anyone. There’s a shared balcony upstairs with seating and view of the street activity. Entrance after hours is by secure code to the building itself plus a separate code to the room. We felt very safe coming and going. We enjoyed coffee and a delicious breakfast sandwich in the morning at The Local right across the street. The historic hotel is within walking distance of shops and other restaurants. If our plans call for us to be back in the area, we would definitely stay here again over a regular hotel. And, we'll eat at the restaurant!
