FlatIron Historic Sandstone Inn

I never heard back from them about having only enough hot water for half a shower. We waited for a half hour and it still was just warm. After being on the road all day we just wanted to shower and go to bed. For the price we paid we'd expect hot water.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's an older historical building so keep that in mind if it doesn't meet your expectations, but it adds a whole level of charm. The owner is also very nice and very thoughtful, from the Kuerig cups located in the common area and room, half and half stocked in the fridge, and a really simple and reasonable checkout process. It's walking distance to great boutique businesses and restaurants as well as Evan's Plunge. I would highly recommend if you're considering a stay in Hot Springs.

We really enjoyed our stay in Suite #3. It was quaint and homey, and the king size bed was very comfortable. We prepared our own dinner 4 out of 5 nights. We enjoyed staying in and dining at our own pace. There’s no microwave, which didn’t bother me but someone else might find it inconvenient. Hot Springs is a little far south for “doing” the Black Hills but you’re always driving through beautiful scenery so we didn’t mind that either. We would recommend this inn and town. Five stars.

Nice inn with a good location that was welcoming and comforting. We were in suite #2 and had plenty of space. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, however the sofa has seen its better days. I definitely would stay here again. Got lucky and we were in town for hot air balloon festival.

My friend and I loved staying at this inn!!! The owners were super responsive and unobtrusive. They went out of their way to check on us throughout our stay. The building itself is gorgeous. Little touches like organic coffee in the living room and a wide variety of tea, organic products in the bathroom, healing crystals in the rooms, homemade hand sanitizer, and a map where you can place a pin on your hometown made this inn really charming and comfy. Their backyard was green, shady, and beautiful. We enjoyed our morning yoga in the backyard. Plenty of parking in the lot and on the street right outside of the building. Highly recommend this place!

We stayed in suite 7. The pictures don't do this place justice. This is one of the best places we've ever stayed. It has everything you need, the floors are heated. The shower was amazing. The courtyard is wonderful. We will definitely be back

Unbelievable hotel! My mom and I were on a cross-country road trip and had to most unexpected and lovely stay in hot springs at the Flatiron. The check in was easy, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the wifi and TV worked great, and the decor was absolutely gorgeous. We wish we could stay longer! We also got free soaks at their mineral spa down the road and ate at the Buffalo Dreamer, which was absolutely incredible.

Our room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. It was well located in town, and easy access to Cascade Falls, The Mammoth Site, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, and The Black Hills. Due to COVID 19, we could not explore the Wind Cave. A great place to stay in Hot Springs.
