K Bar S may be one of the most fabulous places we have eve stayed in over 50 years. ||Rustic and laid back with SD western charm. Front Desk is charming and helpful. |Rooms are clean, roomy and open. |Included breakfast is delicious and served in an open, friendly dining room. ||4pm cocktail hour with reasonable beer and wine cocktails. ||This is the place to stay while visiting Mt Rushmore!||And the surrounding terrain is gorgeous!||Our room had a terrace with a distant view of George Washington’s profile at Mt Rushmore. ||Could you ask for mre??

This place is a GEM snug away in the Black Hills. This will be our 8th year at this lodge. The staff is beyond friendly and if there is any issue ( someone was stealing the USB cords to the TV's to weird) just ask the front desk and they will quickly respond. Rooms are Clean the views are breath taking the breakfast that is included is always delish. They do take really good care of the grounds and it has to be the most peaceful place to have a cup of coffee on your own personal deck looking at all the splendor of the grounds. I would never stay anywhere else when I am visiting the state has this place has captured my heart from my very first visit. See you all soon :)

My husband and I got married here at the K Bar S Lodge and we cannot recommend it enough to any couples who are looking for an amazing place to get married at in the Black Hills. The staff is attentive and supportive in every way, front desk staff is helpful, the banquet team took care of our every need for the reception. It was so lovely to be able to spend the whole weekend with my family who is mostly from out of town and to just gather and be together. My family was obsessed with the views and just how amazing the lodge is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A great place to stay. Tucked away in the valley away from the main road. Beautiful scenery in every direction. Complimentary breakfast every morning. I can highly recommend staying here. The rooms are small, but who cares. Don't visit the Black Hills to stay in the room.

Close to town but not walkable with steep roads. Clean room. We even had a balcony. Quiet and nice mountain view (I select this type of room). Wish there was a Jacuzzi in main building. There are 2 in the other buildings with towels. Your breakfast is on plates and not paper plates.

Just book it! If you are going to visit Mt Rushmore and want to stay in lodge style hotel that is quietly nestled nearby in the woods surrounded by nature - this is it! Incredibly scenic and quiet but somehow only maybe 1/2 mile from busy Keystone and minutes from Mount Rushmore. Pay a bit extra when booking to get a room with balcony that faces the Mt Rushmore profile -- well worth it! The breakfast (included) was far and above better than any other hotel I've ever visited that included breakfast. They also have a pub/casual restaurant on-site for dinner with burgers, sandwiches, pub style food all at a reasonable price for a tourist area. Service was great, friendly, polite. Clean rooms with appropriate decor (lodge vibe). While you are there, take a few minutes to walk the grounds and look around at nature (I saw several deer on the grounds). Glad I booked this hotel, it was one of the highlights of my trip to Mt Rushmore.

Great place to stay. Staff was incredible. Corbin was there every morning and evening with a bright smile on his face. Would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through Mt. Rushmore!

K Bar S Lodge is wonderful, everything about this lodge is 5 star, the employees are fantastic and friendly, rooms are very clean, breakfast is perfect, also had dinner which was great. All the positive reviews are true and accurate. Just book it you will be glad you did.
