Great location, all the staff members were super nice and extremely helpful. The food at the placery was excellent and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but definitely better than the majority of hotel breakfasts you’ll get. Could’ve been our neighbors but the hotel seemed quieter than most as we never heard our neighbors or people walking past in the hallway. Hotels generally lack places to fill water bottles but they had them right near the elevator which was super convenient when for when we were leaving.

This is the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in a while! The rooms had hardwood floors which I love because carpets are gross. The shower had good water pressure and an actual exhaust fan. The room was spacious! We had two queen beds and a couch and the couch was definitely comfortable to sleep in! Would definitely book again! Marriott and Hilton need to up their game because is more Hayatt hotel are like this it will be come my preferred choice of chain hotels.

This is a new hotel, and it is fantastic. The entire building is immaculate, and the rooms are quiet and comfortable, as expected at a new facility.||The unexpected is the level of customer service at this hotel. With a new building, generally, the employees are also new and just learning the ropes. While many of the employees are new, they are fantastic. Sorry, I can't name names, but I didn't get them.||The hotel manager checked us in. He was great. He gave us information on the area and told us not to hesitate to call with any questions. When we got to our room, it looked like we may have well been the first people to stay in it. It was amazingly clean. I even got a text message checking on our satisfaction.||We spent a couple of nights at the bar for a nightcap, and the bartenders made excellent drinks and provided us with "insider" information on the sites we were planning to see. They were both very knowledgeable about the area. ||The entire staff, including check-in/check-out, bar service, and food service, was highly customer-oriented. The hotel's management is doing a great job of finding talented employees.||Three items to be aware of.||There is no pool.||The parking ramp, which is very nice, is $15 daily.||There are no ice makers on the floors, only ice/water dispensers to fill small containers. ||If you need ice for a cooler etc, the front desk will get it for you. This could be an issue on a busy day, but it wasn't for us, as the front desk staff gladly filled our cooler.

We stopped in a couple days after opening just to check it out! We ended up having a couple drinks at the bar and our expirence was truly amazing. Jody was incredible and honestly a refreshing change to alot of our experiences in drinking and food establishments downtown. She is real. Friendly. Accommodating. Truly put the customer first! Her suggestions were spot on. The steak tips are a definite need to order. We are still talking about them. She even took the time to create a cocktail just for my wife's tastes and she struggles finding anything at a bar she truly enjoys |This new hotel is stunning. The food is out of this world amazing. The staff we encountered was great and Jody is one in a million and a true star in downtown. The drinks are great. |We are happy we stopped in and were able to expirience what we both believe to be the NEW and rightful gem of the Black Hills area!!

Beautiful new hotel in a great location. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable too. The parking garage was easy to use and the breakfast was delicious. The on-site laundry room was a helpful amenity too. Despite being open for only a few weeks before our stay there were no issues one might expect for a brand new building and a new staff. It was a well-oiled machine.

I believe this place was open less than a week when we visited. I’ve never been to a hotel SO clean and SO friendly. Clean, expected. Friendly, not so much, but very appreciated. The parking lot entrance is on the side of the building, and there aren’t a lot of signs that make it clear where we can park. It was also almost empty when we arrived around 9pm, so it was kind of confusing - we weren’t sure whether this was the Hyatt parking lot or just a parking garage. Get your ticket to enter the garage, and once you go up the ramp, turn right rather than going straight. There is an elevator entrance that will take to you to the hotel and you can park there. Once we got in the elevator, the buttons said that floors 2 and 3 were Hyatt garage. Hotel lobby is in floor 1. Parking is $15 per entry. We stayed just one night and didn’t need to check, but I’m not sure whether re-entry is allowed. The facility is brand new, so this has been the cleanest hotel I’ve been to in my life. Plus, getting to use brand new towels was so cool. They were so soft! Every one of the staff members we interacted with were super friendly. The least friendly of the bunch was the general manager, who checked us in at night. Not to say he wasn’t friendly. lol. But everyone else was nicer! Breakfast is $8 per person. It is standard continental breakfast as I’ve had at other Hyatt locations, but with bacon instead of sausage, and with the addition of egg-bite-like quiches without crust. One is ham, and the other is spinach. They were both soft and delicious, though i preferred the ham. Coffee. They had the best coffee in all the hotels we stayed at during our cross country trip. And the nicest guy getting the breakfast buffet in order. He was at the door greeting guests coming in and being so helpful throughout the course. The whole experience was well worth the $8, and as it is always the case, the people working behind the scenes were the ones who made it so, rather than the taste of the food itself. Thank you!

Went on a business trip and had issues with the sales department and billing but otherwise a great experience! We were supposed to be billed through the company credit card and told we would need a card to hold for incidentals which is fine we get that but had a hold placed for the entire stay plus $200 and then got billed on our own cards for the full amount and we have to wait nearly 2 weeks for reimbursement which was an issue for some of our team. Otherwise the hotel and staff were great! The front desk staff when we checked in looked like we woke that person up - looked disheveled and shift not tucked.

Rock Star downtown Rapid City Hotel. All new with South Dakota ownership and management. State of the art security with 3 tiers. Far above average hotel safety protocols . Try the walleye tacos or chicken bacon sandwich at the lobby bar called The Placery. Park off Mt Rushmore road. Rally bookings can be up to a year in advance.
