Excellent place to stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms had a nice decor they were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. They offered free coffee, tea, hot cocoa & juice 24 hours a day. If you're looking for a simple, safe, clean and affordable place to stay, this is the place I would recommend. I know the next time I'm in town, this is the place I'll stay.

Positive: It was mostly clean and fairly well furnished. Quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Negative: There were some minor cleanliness details that bugged me. Hair on the ceiling in the shower, something that looked like blood splatter on the mirror/wall in the pool bathroom. The shower was adequate but had a few mold spots like in hard-to-clean spots

I wish we would have stayed somewhere else... The location was fine and service was mostly fine. Couple things I couldn't stand... Kids were running through the halls yelling until about 1030 at night with no staff to stop them. The hot tub was warm, at best, and there were ants all over the place which crawled on my arms multiple times. Can't say it made for a relaxing experience. We had towels in our room, but there were no other towels available for our entire stay so if you need extra you're SOL. All in all if you just need a cheap bed to sleep in and you plan on spending no time in the hotel then it'll do, but if you want to use the amenities hotels provide, I'd look elsewhere. Also be aware, that half of the pictures you see on the Google listing are not even this hotel...

When I checked out I had left some trash in the room, nothing terrible and nothing was damaged or destroyed. The staff that worked that morning Charles me $100 for leaving it there! He was so rude and wouldn’t give me my money back even when I threw it in the garbage. I thought that was part of house keeping and part of the service? I will never stay here again because of their staff.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews of hotels before I chose one for this trip. Prices were either under $100 a night or up near $300, and I wanted the cheaper end of things. Most of the reviews were from people who stayed one night (we stayed seven nights) and also people seem to have extremely high expectations. I want someplace safe and clean and quiet, and this AmericInn fit the bill. ||It was in a cluster of other hotels, so it was both safe and quiet (despite being right off the highway). The room was spacious and I felt like the hotel in general was particularly clean. We had a slight problem with our key but it was fixed immediately. The hotel and hot tub were nicely kept. The lobby had automatic doors, which I really appreciated - a lot of cheaper hotels, you have to hold the door open yourself with luggage and all. Everything worked fine in our room, bed was comfortable. It was a good value for money and we enjoyed using it as a base for our Sioux Falls trip.

We had a 2 night stay and our key cards disabled probably 5+ times. Going back and forth to have them reset was inconvenient and the front desk workers were not helpful or friendly with the issue. He was rude and seemed annoyed. The room was decent and the hot tub was a nice benefit of this hotel.

We reserved a room for over a week to visit family for the holidays and had to cancel because they do not have hot water. The employees/front desk are very rude. They have pool chemicals laying out everywhere in pool area. Hot tub does not work. Rooms have holes around ac/heating unit where you can see outside making our room very cold. Employees constantly are watching you while in the pool. I would not recommend especially if you are coming from out of town.

Very easy to locate, just off I 90, in Hartford. SD. Room very clean. Pool looked lovely.. Quick check in. Bed very comfortable. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast includes hot items like eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, apples, oranges. Great start to our vacation.
