NillWonderful property and accommodating staff. The happy hour and breakfast were top notch. Location close to cruise port and transportation to the port was helpful. We were there when it was extremely windy and cold (wind chill in the 20’s and the room was a bit chilly but it’s a 100 year old mansion. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area or taking a cruise.

★★★★Adorable bed & breakfast that’s a much better alternative to a standard hotel for about the same price. Stayed here after a cruise. Bartender was terrific and we enjoyed spending time in the lobby chatting with other guests. She even offered to give us a ride to nearby grocery store. Bedrooms and public spaces are very clean. My only complaint was need for better maintenance and upgrades. Our window AC unit looked like it needed to be replaced, some windows/doors were hard to open and some furniture looked like it may be on its last leg. Staff were terrific and we were bummed to have missed the breakfast due to very early departure. Absolutely recommend & would return!

NillBeautiful property. We stayed in the Theodore room, it was fantastic with huge doors and windows. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Stephanie at breakfast was great! Breakfast was delicious. They also let us park our car for free for the week of our cruise. 100% recommend.

NillWonderful place to stay and relax. Awesome host who gave an interesting history lesson of the area at our get acquainted time. Thankful for the lower level room. My knees don't like too many stairs anymore. Thank you so much for the wonderful breakfast - don't forget to tip your hosts and servers!

NillWe stayed here on a whim and we are hooked. The house, The Moody Suite, and the amenities offered are incredible - the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The staff is great, especially Stephanie, who was a kind, warm and loving presence throughout our stay. Whatever they are paying her is not nearly enough - she treated us like family! The breakfast was delicious and we were so sad to leave. We can’t wait to stay here again!

★★★★★Lovely, welcoming home and staff.||Our stay started with great communication from our Hostess Kathy. Upon arrival we were welcomed and shown around by wonderful Kathy. The front porch was welcoming and comfortable. The cocktail hour is definitely a nice touch. Our breakfast was cooked to order by the owner/chef and it was excellent! Staff member Stephanie was so kind and helpful. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. || We appreciated the cocktail hour, but would have liked to have some sort of tiny tidbits to go with our cocktail hour. It appeared from photos online that maybe in the past they served cheese and crackers, but we did not see any.

★★★★★I hate to share the great evening we had at this resort as with only 7 rooms we want to come back soon. Lovely old restored Mansion in Galveston - we decided to come a day early before getting on cruise ship and this was lovely. The staff and owner are some of the friendliest folks with attention to every detail. Soft comfy bed with a wonderful shower and plugs. Cooked to order breakfast by Erica was as good as a 5 star restaurant. Stephanie treated us like royalty from our French pressed coffee to our every request.

★★★★★I have always been disappointed with any of the hotels we found on Galveston when we cruise out of there. Mostly chains in the past just because I always thought you would get a standard level of service. My wife and I were cruising with another couple and were meeting in Galveston, so I wanted to try something a bit different and I am glad I did. The Mansion is an outstanding B&B in an area of Galveston that is seeing a bit of a renaissance. The personalized service was top tier, the rooms were comfortable and spacious and the food and beverage were great. Word of caution as it is an old, home without elevators, so luggage is "man-portable", so it could get to be a bit of a workout. Regardless, we had a great stay and look forward to our next trip to Galveston, because I now have a go-to place to stay there.
