NillPolly and Jeff were sitting in their front room when we arrived and greeted us at the door. They were very welcoming and immediately made us feel like we were long lost cousins and right at home. Even had welcome cupcakes next to our names. The room was spotless which is amazing in this 100 year old house and had a mini-split HVAC unit which was almost silent and kept the room very comfortable. Bathroom completely remodeled with huge waterfall shower. Breakfast was next level with Polly up early preparing it. We used their cruise parking package so Jeff shuttled us both to and from the port which made that part of the journey painless. I don''t recommend you book this wonderful property because you might take our room next time we want to stay here.... :-) We will be back....

★★★★★The property is located in the silk stocking district of Galveston. It's a few blocks from the beachfront and an easy drive to all the other attractions. Our room was spacious and comfortable and had excellent climate control. Jeff and Polly were gracious and accomodating. We weren't hungry until dinner after enjoying the excellent homemade breakfast. Avenue O is all that you would expect in a bed and breakfast.

NillMy husband and I stayed at Avenue O from Oct 3-6 for his early 50th birthday and our 1st cruise for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Balinese Room and all I can say that it was truly an amazing stay. Polly and Jeff are amazing hosts and so helpful. Polly is an amazing cook! Jeff took us to the port and also picked us up when we got back into port. The entire experience was so amazing that we have already booked another cruise for May 2025 and have already booked our room again. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay while in Galveston I absolutely recommend staying at Avenue O.

★★★★★My husband and I recently took a trip to Galveston and stayed a few nights at the Avenue O Bed and Breakfast. What a delight! We absolutely loved the Seawall suite and the view of the garden from the balcony. The hospitality of the hosts was impeccable and the breakfasts were some of the finest we have ever had. You don’t leave the table hungry! We look forward to staying again sometime.

★★★★★This is the place to stay in Galveston. The hosts are so accommodating and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel right at home! ||The home itself is lovely. We stayed in the Balinese Room which was perfect for us as we were traveling with our daughter. The breakfasts were so delicious! Something to look forward to each day.||The bed and breakfast is also very centrally located -close to all attractions and many restaurants. The advantage of being able to leave your car there while cruising and the free rides to and from the port make your cruise traveling so much easier! ||We also really enjoyed visiting with our hosts and fellow travelers. If traveling to Galveston, you do not want to miss this gem!

★★★★★We stayed one night prior to our cruise! Polly and Jeff were so sweet and she is an amazing cook! We had chocolate cupcakes waiting for us upon arrival! House is beautiful and comfy! She made us pizza for dinner (extra charge but worth it). It was one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had! Breakfast the next morning was awesome too! Homemade lemon blueberry pancakes, maple bacon (Jeff’s recipe) , scrambled eggs and potatoes! Jeff took us to the cruise port and will pick us up, included in the price! Room was very nice and updated! Free parking on site too( included). We’re staying again in October and April 2025! Thanks Polly and Jeff!

★★★★★I was heading out on a cruise and wanted to find a place nearby the port and not far from good eats. I found Avenue O online and when I read the excellent reviews, plus I would get free parking and a ride to and from the port I was sold. The couple who own this B&B are just lovely and I can’t wait to come back!

NillAvenue O was the perfect stay for our night before our cruise! Polly and Jeff are very friendly and welcoming. They have beautiful renovated rooms in a cute historic house and a delicious breakfast. The location is just a couple blocks from the beach and all of the local restaurants. They had great recommendations. They also allowed us to park our car on their property during the run of our cruise. Jeff dropped us off and picked us up from the terminal all while giving us a run down of what to expect since this was our 1st cruise. He also told us about some of the historical sights in Galveston as we drove. Their hospitality was exceptional and we would definitely stay here again if visiting Galveston!
