Lotus Galveston

We fully enjoyed our stay at the Lotus! The room was very clean and super cozy. A big plus was that it was quiet too! Check in and check out instructions were very easy to follow as there is no front desk and was stress free to navigate. It's near plenty of food and entertainment and we were able to walk to and from! The area is family friendly as well. We'll definitely be staying again!

Ignore the negative reviews on this place! We are checking out today and loved our short stay here! It’s a historic building, turned into mini rooms, with some great charm. Check in was easy, the common areas and the coffee, tea and water stations is a great touch. You can watch Hulu on the TVs and it’s super quiet and comfortable. If you just know, this isn’t a “hotel”, you won’t get checked in from a person, the rooms and bathrooms are still in a historic building, but our stay was perfect. Next time we come here, we will be staying here, whether it’s for a cruise or a visit, we really enjoyed this property!

The logistics were very good - straightforward remote booking experience and responsive staff. The bathroom was not great, though. For some reason, the shower was flat with the rest of the small room, and the curtain was a good 6 inches above the floor. There wasn't much airflow to speak of, leading the bathroom floor to be cold and wet, and the room to be very humid.

I had a wonderful stay at the Lotus! The place was clean and well-maintained, making for a very comfortable experience. It's conveniently located within walking distance of the Strand and Downtown Galveston, so there’s plenty to explore nearby. The staff was incredibly accommodating, allowing me to check in early and check out late, which made my visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend the Lotus Galveston to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay while visiting the area!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Lotus Inn. It was beautiful and very welcoming. The bed was soft and comfy. Everything was clean. The attendant was nice. We had no complaints at all! We will definitely stay here again. So glad we found this hidden gem!

I was not very impressed, especially at this price point. Although the exterior and common areas were nicely painted, our room was so tiny, my husband had a difficult time finding a place to hook up his CPAP … and our phones at the same time. No nightstands, and they wouldn’t have fit if there were any. In addition to the room smelling of mildew, the toilet wouldn’t stop running and apparently the electronic lock wasn’t working, or so management said when they texted us and reminded us that there would be a $20 additionally fee per hour for a check-in before 4pm or a check-out after 10am. I’ve felt more welcome at a Holiday Inn. There’s quaint and then there’s shoebox. I just don’t see the value and wouldn’t recommend this venue.

Very bad at communication. Texted and called multiple times, and there was no response. Place is cozy, clean and convenient, but staff is not helpful. In response to owner: I emailed in advanced to arrange for bag drop off and was told to confirm the day I got the key code. I didn't have cell service until I got back from the cruise... same day as check-in. I called and texted the "emergency " phone# that morning and called the main phone # multiple times, but no one answered.... until 4 p.m., when it was check-in time. At that point, it was pointless. I understand the need to keep costs down, but how hard is it to answer a text or phone call??!! Thank you for the hospitality.

Great place to spend the night before getting on a cruise. Room was small but Comfortable and clean.
