SpringHill Suites Galveston Island

This is an old hotel. Not up to Marriot standards. Whenever you walk into the lobby the smell of the indoor pool knocks you out! After traveling went into the lobby restroom, filthy and the floors were wet. The room was nice, until I laid down. The mattress was old. I weigh 225 and the mattress was so soft it total went flat. I told my wife we were sleeping on a hammock. I would not recommend this hotel. It is convenient for cruisers to stay at but I would look elsewhere.

These rooms need some work. I would not recommend this hotel. I was in a double, and the TV was in a weird place. Lightning is low. The bathroom certainly needs to be worked on. The front desk gentleman was very nice. The location was good for the distance to the pier.

Positive: "" Negative: Thos hotel is older and kind of run down. It definitely did not feel like a Marriott branded hotel. The beds were saggy with dips, very uncomfortable. The bathroom was outdated and just felt dingy. I definitely would recommend or stay here again!

A very clean and cozy hotel space. No smoke odours in the hotel. The indoor pool is small. But cozy and open for longer. The exercise room is extremely tiney and really didn't have much. Just a treadmill and some light weights.

Nice big room, but hardly any convenient outlets for devices. Nothing by the bedside table. Could use a deep cleaning.

Positive: Free parking, good coffee, beautiful view of Galveston Bay Negative: The rooms need to be updated with more outlets. The AC was next to the bed so it was uncomfortably loud all night long, and thus I woke up with a throbbing headache bc of it. The key cards did not work when we 1st checked in which was very annoying.

One was only staying one night before my cruise. I have to say as a Lifetime Platinum Member it was the ABSOLUTE worst stay I’ve ever had. The room is in need of repairs and the worst part was the front desk staff acted like they didn’t care! I had to cover the AC intake vent with a pillow and towel to prevent ice cold air from blowing on the bed from outside. I actually think there was a hole in the wall.

An older version of so many Springhill Suites that I've stayed in before. The TV didn't work that well but the room and the interior of the hotel we nice for an older set up.
