Check-In was simple and fast. Christiana greeted us and made us feel welcomed immediately! All front desk staff was great but she was the star of the show. Our room was beautiful but not soundproof as advertised. We heard a lot of random noises from above and outside our door. Thankfully, at night it was quiet, even with the rodeo going on. The bar was great and the staff were friendly! I wish I could remember our waiters name; he was awesome and made great recommendations. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised by Hotel Vesper—the photos don’t quite do it justice! The exterior may seem unassuming, but once inside, it’s a trendy-chic retreat with stylish decor, upscale amenities, and an inviting ambiance. What truly sets this hotel apart is the sophisticated yet vibrant energy, attracting professionals who appreciate both comfort and style. Beyond the aesthetics, the service was outstanding across the board—proactively friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. Every interaction, from check-in to dining and beyond, felt personalized and professional. Hotel Vesper is definitely a top choice in Houston, whether for business or a stylish getaway. Looking forward to my next stay!

Really enjoyed this hotel, as other reviews say, the pictures do not do it justice! You’ll have to see to find out how great the ambience is when you walk in, from the decor, furniture, and the friendliness of all the staff members. The bartender at the Cache bar made us amazing drinks, entertained all our questions and conversation, and we enjoyed our night out.

This was my second stay and I loved it again. Prime location, very cozy and amazing staff. They were all smiles every time I was in the lobby. A young lady at the front desk even helped me with a zipper malfunction before a night out. I ended up leaving my phone in my room and staff was super helpful with getting it shipped back to me. Thanks Doug and team! This will be my go to every time I’m in Houston.

Stayed here with my bf while he had work in the city. It's conveniently next door to the Galleria mall. It's obviously a renovated old (historic?) hotel that tried to keep an art nouveau aesthetic. The lobby feels very high end but I thought there'd be more complimentary items for guests but the fridges and snacks by the main lobby counter are for purchase only. There is a small cafe to the left of the entry doors and a lounge/bar past the lobby. The staff were kind of indifferent and didn't acknowledge you unless you specifically seeked them out. I had to have them change our room at first because the AC unit in the first one was SUPER loud and janky. The young maintenance worker told me some units weren't upgraded correctly when the hotel went under renovations and apparently the hotel never fixed the issue? Thankfully the second room they moved us to the unit was new and quiet. The beds were large and very comfortable. The bathroom was also nice and spacious. The only thing was there wasn't a lot of lighting. So the room stayed pretty dim except for mid morning when you got some natural light. This could go along with the romantic vibe. Our stay was very quiet and peaceful. The hotel cafe is very cute and the staff in there were very professional and polite. I ended up ordering some pastries and a coffee one morning and another we got room service delivered. I loved the room service delivery kept that old world vibe aesthetic and it was actually quite delicious. There isn't a lot of restaurants or cafes within walking distance (unless you count what's in the mall). There's a brewery across the street that has good burgers but I'm realizing Houston just isn't a walkable city. Overall our stay was enjoyable.

Intro: The hotel section is great but the dining section leaves a little to be desired. Pros: -The location is perfect and close to multiple restaurants, the mall, grocery stores, and the highway. -the front desk staff is great especially the guys that work overnight. They are friendly, get you checked in and ensure to accommodate you. -the rooms are my favorite. They are big, clean, and always look presentable. The bed is comfortable and their shower is excellent. -I like when the parking is close to the building where I can park myself. Nothing against valet but if parking is close to the hotel and I can go get my own car then I prefer to do that. Cons: -The Cache Cafe next to the entrance is terrible. The guy that answered the phone at 10:25 had an attitude problem saying they were closed, but they don’t close until 10:30. Then I explained to them that it’s 10:25 and he got an attitude and said what do you want. He talked over me the entire time I was making the order. Then I went downstairs and address the issue with the cafe and the lady manager stated that the Latin guy was confused on the time. I said how is he confused on the time when there is a clock right there for everyone to view. I told them I didn’t appreciate the service or attitude. After that was said and done, went to the room and the order was a completed mess. Eggs were not seasoned/cold, the potato was hard and cold, and the toast was cold. I took the order back downstairs and told them that they could have it. I decided to get my Marriott points instead. There are to many nice restaurants around this area that you can choose so I will be choosing those restaurants moving forward. Attitude and bad products are a deal breaker for me. Overall: I recommend the hotel if you are only staying in the hotel as it’s a great hotel. If you need to eat, avoid the cafe and go to a restaurant near by as there are lots of them.

One of my favorite hotels in Houston. Made a last minute 2 night stay for work, and chose Vesper over some other nearby options. The location is convenient to many of my favorite restaurants and shopping options. ||The staff aims to wow you, and I definitely plan on staying here again.

Lifetime platinum Marriott member. I stayed here for work in May, as the rate for the JW was apparently surging for some reason. This property appears to be newly renovated, and there were some weird things that appeared to be left undone. For example, my showerhead wasn't fully attached to the plumbing and would spray out in ways you wouldn't expect. The key to customer satisfaction isn't to never encounter problems, it's how you respond when issues inevitably come up. When I brought the issues to the attention of the desk staff, they had maintenance in my room to sort it out within 30 minutes. Every staff member I've encountered has been pleasant and friendly. My only real complaint, is that this property is a Bonvoy 'tribute' collection, so marketed as a higher end property, but it doesn't have an executive lounge like a mainline Marriot, JW, W, Westin, etc. It should...or it should have some offering to offset the lack of a lounge. Extra reward points, food or beverage voucher, etc.
