NillI hate that they captured my credit card and driver's license number for a $100 security deposit for me as a single business traveler. This is a budget hotel. If it weren't for inflation, the per night rate fair market value would be half of what they charge. The TV in my room was manufactured in 2015. The picture was snowy. Because of the security deposit demand at a low budget hotel, I won't stay again.

NillWe booked four rooms for our day trip to Houston. Coming from Dallas. First off the service and the booking experience was great. The two guys who checked us in was very helpful and kind. Helpful and kind to allow us to look at the rooms before we booked. Also allowed us to get a price match from online. For a hotel that’s not a Hilton or a Marriott it was well worth the price. Hotel was clean, you get what you pay for. No bed bugs, no dirty sheets, nor dirty carpets ! That’s what sold me. You ever been to a hotel and had smelly carpets, yup not this one. No carpets ! My only complaint is location and one of the rooms. It does look a bit sketchy for location wise but it is on the main strip so you have options for food, shopping, gas and etc. It’s big in a hidden corner. My room did have an acquired smell that bugged me. First floor I believe 125. It came from the AC and fridge. I don’t know if the prior guest sprayed something. But it was strong aroma and it bothered my nose. But the other three rooms did not smell like that. If I’m ever in town again I will be back !

NillThis was my 2nd stay. 1st stay 3 months ago for 5 days, then I stayed 5 days again a week ago. This is my new favorite staycation hideaway in the city. The rooms are clean and look like the pictures. The AC is cool, water is hot and there is a fridge and microwave. The property is quiet. Management is friendly. Keep in mind they require a $100 deposit when you check in that is returned to you upon checkout. They physically go and inspect the room before you checkout. I actually like this because it keeps the riff raff out and shows they care about the rooms. BRING THE $100 DEPOSIT IN CASH IF YOU CAN. I did that 2x with no issues. I've read reviews where people have issues with getting it back if it's put on a card. There are numerous restaurants around. Starbucks is in walking distance and Tim Hortons is across the street. Or you can go to Circle K and get an XL coffee with all fixings on the side for $1.79 the night before and heat your coffee in the microwave in the morning. Oh and on my last night they put someone in the room above me and I heard them walking around. If you don't like people walking on your head just ask for a 2nd floor room. Other than that, enjoy your stay!

NillSummary: A reasonable place to sleep if all you need is a bed but does not match the quality of a La Quinta, Holiday Inn, etc. The good: clean, quiet (zero traffic noise), comfortable pillows, large rooms, and hard floor/no rug (for people who think hotel rugs are unsanitary). The bad: semi-hard bed (but not rock hard like some reviews say because of the softer pillow-top), missing some of the conveniences that other hotels have like coffee maker, iron, bedside clock, etc., the TV picture was fuzzy/ghosting on both TVs, weak WIFI signal, and no elevator to the second floor. The ugly: the entire property looked used and abused. The room was old and broken with a fresh coat of paint and cheesy new wallpaper that unsuccessfully tried to hide the building's aged and barely maintained state. The toilet paper holder was 3/4 detached from the wall and the fridge handle came right off when I tried opening it (but I was able to snap it back on). Ugliness doesn't affect your sleep, privacy, or safety but it won't be a highlight of your travels.

Nillhair on the bathroom floor, a sofa was stained and where you brush your teeth the drain, it takes time for the water to go, that was my experience in the room I had, everything else was very decent to be able to rest comfortably.

NillOWNERS AT FRONT DESK ARE NICE. PROPERTY LOOKS LIKE AN APARTMENT. HAS A GLOWING WALL MIRROR INSIDE WHICH IS NICE. BEDS ARE COMFORTABLE. LIKE THAT THEY HAVE A ONE BEDROOM AVAILABLE. ONLY THING IS THERE IS NO DOOR ON THE ROOM. I FEEL THEY SHOULD ADD THE DOORS. QUIET ON THE PROPERTY ALSO. NO BUGS. STAYED HERE A FEW TIMES, ROOMS ARE CLEAN. WILL COME BACK!
