Super 8 by Wyndham Lubbock West

This was an enjoyable stay. The front desk reception was outstanding. Up one entering the hotel the view was beautiful. I saw a review of two stars and I don’t know how they got that kind of a rating. They were above and beyond. Very friendly, very helpful, and very accommodating. I would come back here without any hesitation.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean and spacious room. Great breakfast with a large selection of just about anything you would want to eat. I thought this hotel was definitely worth the $! I would stay again for sure.

One bed suite was nice and cozy. It was roomy and comfortable. It had a little stove, fridge, and microwave. We used the pool, but the hot tub was empty.

Nice since it has been redone. Pool was open, spa was closed though. They need to provide towels in the pool room. Some spots could definitely use some touching and cleaning up, but the remodel is definitely an upgrade from what it was. Room 222 doesn’t have a view, but it does have good cell phone reception lol. Good WiFi.

I came here just needing a nights rest after going to the studio 6 down the road and having to get a refund from them because the non smoking rooms smelt like smoke. Luckily I got my refund from them and came here. I didn't like that there was a $100 deposit (unless you use a credit card). I have been to many Super 8s and never have I seen that. (Tho il admit it's been a few years since I last stayed at one) still $100 deposit for a 2 star motel is steep and I never trust these motels with a deposit. The front desk lady was very sweet and even let me check the room first. So great customer service but the elevators and halls are a little filthy. (Could be I came on a bad day for them) the rooms are MOSTLY clean. The floor needed a good sweep and I spotted stains on my towels, curtains and a small one on the sheets. Everything else appeared clean. As far as noise. Its a little noisy. The room above me was very loud all night stomping around. I understand they cant control that tho. Overall. It wasn't the worst I stayed at. It didnt have any bad smells thankfully. It's a fair price. $82 on a Sun night. Tho it could of been a few bucks cheaper considering. Rooms got everything you need. The microwave wasn't working very well Tho but everything else seemed to work fine. Plenty of power and USB outlets too. Good for a quick place to eat, shower and sleep.

I was here for less than 12 hours otherwise I would have went to another hotel. There were stains on the sheets. The pull out couch had crumbs in it. The toilet seat and bathroom were dirty (dried fluid on both). I’m rating this hotel a 3 solely because of the customer service. The customer service was amazing! This would be a great hotel if housekeeping did their job.

The best Super 8 we've ever stayed at! The staff was super great, the hot breakfast was awesome! Hubby liked the strawberry waffles! Rooms were super spacious and everything was super clean! Our room had a coffee bar area, a fridge and microwave, which was cool!

Positive: The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast had eggs and biscuits and gravy along with the usual bread products. No fruit. Negative: The hair dryer did not work.
