Tru by Hilton Lubbock Southwest

My family and I had a wonderful experience with this hotel. The rooms were not quite what I expected as far as size. I'm used to a little more space a full size desk and a dresser and a closet but this hotel room didn't have that so it limited space on where to put your clothes. I had some wonderful customer experience; check in was smooth. The young lady was very nice, esp when she couldn't find my reservation under my name. She was helpful and thoughtful. The next morning we woke up late and missed breakfast (9:10)...I came down to get coffee and the lady was shutting down the breakfast area. She saw me and asked... we still have food left would you like some. THAT WAS LIFE SAVING! My family and I were able to enjoy a lite breakfast which to me saved her from having to throw away the food and it be wasted. THANK YOU BRITTANY!

I was able to enjoy the hotel for a couple of hours because I had to leave due to a family emergency. I was in Lubbock for a conference and choice this hotel (which I am glad). When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the front counter and told everything there was to know about the hotel. The room was clean when I got there, and it was a good-sized room. I did check out the gym and it definitely looked well maintained. Also, the hotel had snacks you could buy in the lobby, and there was a good variety. I was really looking forward to the breakfast as the reviews stated the breakfast is good. Lastly, I appreciate the customer service there as I mentioned I was only there a couple of hours and had to leave due to an emergency. I was worried about potentially not getting a refund, but “Michael” was able to get approval from the boss to approve a full refund. I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I am in Lubbock!

Positive: Staff is extremely friendly, and the location is great. Southwest Lubbock is the newest and nicest part of town, and this hotel is far enough from traffic that you don't hear a lot of road noise, but you're still close to many restaurants and stores. Negative: This is my 4th time staying at this location, and there is always at least one empty bottle of the hand soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner that they put in the rooms. I always have to check them when I first get to the room and ask for more if it's out.

We have stayed here before and loved it. This time absolutely not, from the shower leaking to the floor, bed frame broken, and grease or something running down the door, nightlight in the bathroom not working to so much more. Husband getting food poisoning from breakfast. Definite reason the rooms were 90.00!

The hotel room itself was fine for one night. What made the stay miserable was even though the hotel was 75% empty, they put a family of 5, including 2 small children, right next to our room. This family did not put the children to bed before 11 and didn’t care if they ran around screaming until then. When I said something at the front desk the next day, they couldn’t care less.

Very clean and well kept room! Accessible area for dogs to go out. Fresh and delicious breakfast. Gym was clean and had treadmills, bikes, and weights. Overall, very technologically advanced, amazing service, and clean. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The young man at the front desk is Connor. He was always willing to help with anything necessary. He always had a smile on his face and was very polite. Management needs to recognize him because it is hard to find good help these days. Thank you, Connor for everything!

We always stay here when passing through Lubbock. It is a great place for a consistent experience ( who wants surprises ). They have a filtered water dispenser and ice dispenser which is great. I notice coffee making in rooms seems to be on the way out .... but it is no big deal to get fresh brewed coffee at reception. Did I mention that the bed and sheets and pillows are the kind you wish you had at home ? Finally the kitchen / breakfast lady is super helpful in making sure our breakfast experience was "5 stars" . Also there is a new western style / sports bar / eating place being built across the road ... I estimate it will be open in 3 or 4 months.
