Hacienda del Rio

The room overlooked the Guadeloupe river. It was a clean and comfortable room. The bedding was soft and cozy. We had a quick and easy check-in process. The clubhouse was nice and had a bar where you could order drinks with a great selection of alcohol. The grounds were really nice with outdoor sitting areas, pool, basketball, etc. A bonus, we were able to rent kayaks and put in right on property from a partnering business, PaddleTX. They picked you up down river. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Slight smell in the room but didn’t impact our stay. Otherwise, the location was great for river access and its walking distance to Billy’s icehouse and you could walk to downtown Gruene. The onsite pool and year round activities are a nice touch. Pet friendly was a plus for me!

The rooms were cozy and quaint. The location is ideal for a relaxing get a way. Communication is very clear, effective, and helpful. My only negative comment is that our window ac unit was a little meh-not blowing fully cold, but definitely comfortable and i had the best sleep ever. Not to mention, love the river access.

Randomly found hotel on Expedia. Upon arrival we were surprised by the location to only discover the newly updated retro decor and the friendliest staff. We were welcomed like old friends. We selected the Room with the river view with minimal noise even being so close to the main thoroughfare. The room boasted the most comfortable bed and a rain shower. 10/10 recommend!

I stayed at the Hacienda Del Rio for two nights. The communication leading up to my room was great. I did have some trouble finding my room but utilizing the text messaging helped greatly. The room was very clean. I didn't find any dust, mold or anything like that. I was impressed with how clean it was. The only reason why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars on location was that the train and some cars I could hear pretty well in the room. Overall a great experience and if I am in the area I know where I would like to stay.

I felt so at home and taken care of while staying here. I stayed in a loft and it was perfect. The receptionist and all staff were super kind and friendly. I had a small issue (of my own doing) and they completely worked with me and helped me out! I would stay here again. Beautiful little access to the river and the place is so vibey! Definitely worth a stay!

This was the best “staycation” experience I’ve had in a LONG time. If I had to choose one phrase to describe the experience, I’d say the vibe far exceeded the cost of our stay, and it was a great deal on top of that. We have future stays already planned. The rooms and entire property were renovated and are comfortable and well designed. I love this place.

I am not familiar with New Braunfels, but this seemed to be a good location. Close to Greune Hall, which was our goal. It looks to have a place to rent tubes,but we weren’t in NB for that. We spent just a day here and it was nice. The only thing I would critique is that the plugs for charging your phone, or whatever, are not near the bed. The staff was amazing and they even fit me in a little early. The rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable. Showering was spacious but it was the design with no door. That’s fine for us, but it seems a little invasive if you are staying with others. Everything was very clean, there was no carpet, which I like, and it was equipped with a mini fridge, a teapot, and a microwave. I will also say, the walls seem to be a little thin as we could hear people talking right outside the door. Overall it was a great stay!
