The Canterbury Inn

My wife, adult daughter and I spent two nights at the Canterbury Inn, March 2025. We were very pleased with our room and furnishings. We had a one-bedroom suite on the 2nd floor with a sitting area and kitchenette with full sized stove and refrigerator. Coffee maker, plates, cooking utensils, etc. were all there, everything we needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the unit was clean throughout. Staff was friendly and check-in, check-out was quick and easy. We had a great time and would stay there again.

The Time Capsule Room was so adorable. There was even stuff for a dog. Next time I will bring my dog, he would love it. Everything was clean and I loved the kitchenette. The pool and hottub was really clean as well. Our room faced the ocean and I can't wait until I get to go back. All the appliances looked like they were from the sixties but were all modern. This Clean and Free 2025 was amazing!

Quaint little condo style room. It had a rustic, eclectic feel, no frills. ||My favorite part is the little kitchenette and sink, which made it easy for daily meals. Easy access for my puppy? A small patio door led to a dog friendly area and a nearby trail to the beach. ||The staff is very friendly...and my trip pleasant. No complaints here.

The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room (306) was decorated with octopus its great! Very beach - I loved every detail! And there were so many details! Everything you would need was provided in the kitchenette and bathroom. They even include special stuff for your furry friends! I will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I have traveled extensively, and been everywhere on the west coast. I'll exclude any super high-end places, but in this range of hotels, this is the best we've ever experienced. Everything was immaculate, including the common areas. Our room was so beautifully appointed and flawless. We had commitments or we would have liked to stay longer. The fact that they accept pets was a huge plus, and they gave us a very nice bed for our little poodle. This place might the main reason we would come back to the area, since it's a bit of a hike from where we live and Long Beach is closer.

Easy check in/out. Clean and quiet room. Spacious enough for all 6 of us. Nice pool and close to the beach (a walk thru grassy dunes on a trail). Would definitely stay here again.|Had all the kitchen things we needed and cozy extra blankets for the kids.

Our room was clean and quiet. The kitchen had all of the utensils we needed for cooking meals. It was a great place to come back to after a day of beachcombing, and it's within walking distance of restaurants and souvenir shopping. We had a great time!

Very nice spacious studio room. Great friendly customer service. Clean and inviting. Nice kitchenette with what you need to make a meal. Toiletries and plenty of space in bathroom. Loved the bathroom counter top coloring with blue flecks. Very pretty!
