Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place

The Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place provided an exceptional stay for my wife and me, with its beautifully clean and well-appointed rooms that offered both comfort and style. The on-site restaurant was equally impressive, serving delicious meals in a welcoming atmosphere that made our dining experience thoroughly enjoyable. We definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

So this is the second time I have stayed in this Marriott. The first time it was unexpectedly nice and accommodating. This time I feel that there are extra charges and I don't understand why. If I am staying in the hotel overnight and paying the room rate why do I have to pay to park at your establishment? I mean I don't care to pay a parking fee but what you want should be the price to park for a month not overnight. Unfortunately I have little choice when my family plans Christmas dinner at this location. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and also very helpful. Also thanks for being pet friendly. I am hopeful once renovations are done that the parking situation as to where to enter will be fixed as well.

While we enjoyed our stay while visiting West Virgina University I was less than thrilled that I had booked a room with a waters view only to learn they had given my room away. While did charge me for the lesser room no explanation was given or compensation for why my room had been given away with even an explanation or sorry. As a member of Marriott I found this disheartening!

I had a great experience during my business trip. |I did not have any disturb. |Good restaurant and bar. |People were nice. |The view to the river is nice. However, it was quite raining these days as my. Isn't was during fall. |Meeting rooms are good.

The hotel is great, awesome staff and very clean and comfortable rooms, the only downside was the restaurant. It was a snowy day and the restaurant staff all called off except 3 people, (2 servers and 1 other, no cooks showed up.) they should have shut it down but instead the 3 of them tried to run it and failed.

The room had not been properly cleaned as evidence of two hairs left on the countertop greeting us as we arrived. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt until the family of dust bunnies on the bedside lamps bid us good night, as we attempted to sleep. Then, toilet ran all night. It was distant water running. Perhaps another guest?? It didn’t sound like it was our bathroom until we lifted the lid off the tank. By this time it was 5am. The real kicker was when we went to inform the front desk that the toilet runs ALL the Time- they were unfazed. “Oh sorry about that…” This is a frequent stop for us- but the last few times they have been missing the mark.

Pros: Very nice, clean rooms Modern Comfortable Beds Wonderful shower Clean bathroom Nice fridge Friendly Staff Good location within walking distance of Restaurants Cons: Pricey I would book with them again.

Positive: Efficient, friendly, professional service Negative: The paper coffee cup lids didn?t snap shut and spilled coffee on myself. Lids are useless if they don?t fit.
