Holiday Inn Express Morgantown by IHG

Staff was very friendly even when arriving at 2 AM for a stop to sleep for our road trip. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Would like to add thank you for using king sized pillows for the king sized bed . Shower was nice and the breakfast was great for a hotel bar. This property sits next to a Super 8 yes they are cheaper than here however only by about $30. So spend the little extra and see for yourself that it is worth the price difference.

This was our last stay before arriving home after a 24 day drive, 16 states and almost 4,000 miles. Before this hotel we stayed at four other Holiday Inn Express', the one just prior to this was in Walton, KY for three nights. When we arrived there they greeted us as silver elite members, gave us some bottled water and asked if there was anything else they could get us. Not that big of a deal but very much appreciated. Everyone there was very nice. Big difference in Morgantown. The price was way higher for no reason that we could see. We were not acknowledged as silver elite members and when I asked if we could get some bottled water I was told I could buy some if I wanted it. When I mentioned that in Walton, KY they gave us some water I was told that everyone does things differently. This is the first Holiday Inn Express that I would not recommend and will not be staying at again.

Positive: The girl at the front desk was so welcoming and friendly when we checked in. It was such a nice feeling. Negative: I really did enjoy are room and would have given a higher rating if the shampoo and hand soap would have been filled in our room. We travel a long way in a snow storm and wanted a bath but could not because there was no soap in our room.

Friendly staff and clean facility. Good breakfast as always at a Holiday Inn Express. Only a couple of minor issues. First the pool room was a little on the colder side and the pool itself felt very cold for being listed as a heated pool. Second we could not use the safe in our room as some previous guest had locked it. We would book here again though.

My wife and I had a great experience from the moment we checked into the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. King size bed was huge and comfortable as well. It was our second time staying at this property and both times have been outstanding. Pretty decent breakfast as well.

I reserved a 2 queen suite and the room I received upon check-in looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The room I received was a regular room, not a suite. The manager refused to do anything about this issue. My son will be a freshman in the fall and I have 4 years of hotel stays coming up - I will never stay at this hotel again.

Nice and clean - beds were more comfortable than most as well, and I don't sleep well in hotels as a rule. Breakfast was also a nice free bonus. Will stay here again when in Morgantown.

I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions. It is very convenient to I-68, to the WVU and Mon General Hospitals and to the football stadium and university campus. Rooms are always clean and neat. Staff was very helpful--in fact went out of their way to help me in a personal jam which they did not have to do. I always stay here when I am in Morgantown unless booked by work through some other location.
