5-Star Review: A Grateful Stay with Our Nonprofit Organization I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Residence Inn in Appleton, Wisconsin. A special thank you to Karlie- thank you for everything! This is by far the best place to stay—especially when traveling with a large family or group. In our case, we are traveling with our nonprofit organization, and our young men are absolutely thrilled about the opportunity to stay here. A special thank you to Karlie, whose exceptional customer service made us feel welcomed and appreciated from the moment we arrived. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out and made a lasting impression on our team. We’re grateful for the hospitality, the spacious accommodations, and the comfort this location offers. It’s a blessing to have a place like this to rest and recharge while we carry out our mission. Thank you again, Residence Inn Appleton—you’ve earned our highest recommendation!

We were really disappointed in our stay at the Residence Inn Appleton, WI. Our hotel room lock DID NOT WORK. We had been out for the evening and little did we know, our room was unlocked the entire time. We noticed when we returned that after shutting the door, you could open it without a key. It happened every time. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk person, he found that if you shut the door ran the key in it again, it would lock by doing this across the hall, which that room apparently had the same problem. The next day, we left for the game and did the procedure of running the key through the lock and the door. When we returned 4 hours later, the door was unlocked AGAIN, maybe due to housecleaning, but they should have been told. I went back to desk and another person came down and tried to reporgram the lock, that did not work and they just said "oh well" I asked if they had checked the other rooms, as two rooms had this issue and it was leaving people possessions at risk as well as the people themselves. They never offered to give us another room, but promised us additional points, but none have been given. The front outside door near us did not shut on it's own. Additionally, the rooms could use some TLC and the bed was not very comfortable. But worrying that the lock might fail again while we slept. The locatio was great, near the mall and the Timber Rattlers stadium and the free breakfast was good.

When we arrived and entered the facility we noticed the dirt on floors, ledges, etc. overall appearance. We have stayed there each year before about the past 3 years and never noticed this. When we entered our room 110, walked in and noticed immediately the carpet was dirty, bugs in corners, not vacuumed, leaves on the floor, lighting was dusty, mirrors wear smeared, bedding was stained and looked like never changed. we then went to the desk and requested a new room due to the condition, we then were given room 111, when we entered the room there was dust on furniture, we noticed dead bugs in corners, window ledges, floors, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and corners, showers were never cleaned, toilet had urine on them. being the last room available like this we had gone up to the front desk, a young blond lady was working, gave us a attitude, we asked for a vacuum and Swiffer's and cleaners so we could clean the room. the lady could not find anything but a vacuum so we used towels to knock down the cobwebs and vacuum what we could up as the vacuum was plugged and filthy. the room was not stocked with coffee or condiments, so we had to ask for them, in turn the lady didn't know what kind of coffee maker we had and had trouble getting us some coffee. we also only had 1 roll toilet paper per bathroom, (4 ladies staying there) we requested more and were given one more roll then told it was all they had as the supply hasn't come in yet and the hotel was out. So, we ended up buying some from a Kwik trip down the road to use for ourselves. We did let the front desk everything that had happened. I did email Marriot several times with no response and finally had to call them to get some kind of resolution. The refunded us 1 night. each day we had to clean our own room and get our own new towels and at that point with the staff giving us dirty looks we just did the cleaning ourselves and bought our own supplies. I feel that this is and was the worst stay that we had encountered at this facility and was given the attitude that no one really cared. I have never had to clean my own Hotel room and ask for supplies and then be told the hotel was out of supplies. Yes we could have left and gone elsewhere but we were already checked in and to find another place to stay in the area we were at would have been a nightmare, as one of the girls has high anxiety and this put her into one of her anxiety issues, and another one of them could not sleep or eat as the fear of what would be caught or bitten by a bug. I was treating my employees to a weekend away and told them how nice the hotel is that we were going to stay at until we arrived and had these issues. I feel that something else should be done to accommodate me at the issues we had. we did also take pictures. There was one lady when we first checked in who was the nicest and most accommodating, but we felt very uncomfortable by the body language, looks at attitudes we were given by the other employees there. The employees were not very friendly except the one and we were afraid to ask them for anything, We the consumer pay their wage and in today's world it is not taught to employees about that. I should not have expected to be treated with such disrespect and having to endure all that we did for our stay. I await a reply from someone and if none given via email or phone call (262) 565-7683 then I will assume that writing this just does not make corporate aware of the problems. I travel a lot for work and stay a lot of places. The customer service by all employees here, especially the young lady working the reception desk this morning, is above expectation! There is a great team working here. I will definitely be back.

Great place to stay!! Traveled here and arrived early, Karlie at the front desk was extremely helpful and allowed me to check in when I arrived from the airport after a long trip. Room was great and would highly recommend staying here for anyone traveling to Appleton! Also, very close to the airport and food/shopping areas.

The location is pretty central to the region, the US41 makes everything accessible. The Service was spectacular. Talia Williams and James Oclaire were on point, professional, and easy to work with. I checked in late and the room was ready for me right away. the room was huge with a big couch and table which came in handy when i was preparing for work in the hotel. The internet was easy to connect to and very fast. Also I left stuff at the hotel and James and Talia were very quick in working with a shipper to send my stuff home. I had my stuff back in about a week's time from the say. I would definitly recommend this hotel and its a shining star among Marriott's offerings in the region. Thank you all and take care.

Traveled to location. The room was amazing with the kitchen and a separate space from the restroom. Accommodation was for 3. The pool was nice but small, the children enjoyed that. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and on time. Staff great.

We stayed in a 1br suit for 10days, here are my thoughts The rooms were pretty outdated and janky. The light in the bathroom was so dark that sometimes I had to double check if it was on. The towel rack also randomly fell. The lightfixture above the kitchen table was falling apart, and there was tape on the wall next to it. The internet was decent, but once the parking lot filled up, you could tell it was slower. Usually, it was around 28Mbps. Also the exercise room was a huge disappointment. It was pretty tiny, and only 4 machines and 2 of them were broken the whole 10 days we were there, so that was a huge bummer.
