Howard Johnson by Wyndham Appleton

They were going to put us on a second floor which would not work because I cannot do stairs with my knees and back. So they were accommodating and we did have to wait for housekeeping to clean a first-floor room which I didn't mind the wait. The room great it smelled clean looked clean. The towels and bedding white no stains at all. Bed was soft and comfy. The Continental breakfast was a bit disappointing which is why they only got four stars. The breakfast was cereal, waffle or toast. The bread grossed me out because there was no tongues everyone had to put their hand in the bag of bread. There was no fruit or yogurt. And no hot option either. They did have a refrigerator and microwave in the room so next time if we have to come up to Appleton and the company puts us up here I know to pick up things from the store for breakfast not just drinks and snacks. Now with that being said the room was good, clean, and NO bugs and pet friendly. So we are not opposed to staying here again i will just plan breakfast better. Overall it was a good stay.

The rooms are super clean and nicely decorated. The staff is always friendly. The outside of the hotel could use some upgrades but the rooms are very clean and nice especially for a budget hotel. Not much of a breakfast available. We have stayed here multiple times and will continue to when we come to Appleton.

We just needed a place to stay for a couple nights and it was cheap. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable, but the hallway stunk. The room thankfully didn't. The parking area was a little sketchy too. We were a bit concerned leaving the car parked there, but nothing happened.

Location is ok but there are other places to stay. And our bed was comfy. That’s the only reason why I’m giving it 2 stars. We pulled up and I could tell it was a run down place already. We were scared to leave our car in the parking lot because we didn’t want it being broken into. We walked in and the lobby was freezing! The Indian guy that was working came out of the room to check us in. He asked 2 questions and gave us the room key cards. I was kind of surprised I didn’t have to sign anything which I also thought was sketchy. And the hallways also stink. Our room stunk too and there was hair in the shower. The carpets are nasty everywhere too. The receptionist is barely out. He always seems to be in the back room. We were in and out of our room a few times and only saw him that one time when we were checking in

This is the most disgusting hotel I've ever stepped foot into. My room stunk like smoke. The linen was dirty and I saw multiple cockroaches in my room and the hallways. The service was absolutely awful. Do not stay here!

Great person at check in and room is very clean and large. And also at night very quiet atmosphere gives me a good sleep and pillows and bedsheets are clean and neat one thing i was impressed by is that the hot water supply is very good we stayed for 12 nights and enjoyed it ...

Zero stars. This place would not refund me for a booking i made. I would have stayed if the place wasn't so disgusting. There was dirt and hair in the lobby, nobody to greet me at 7pm when i tried to check in, no cameras in the parking lot, and the place smelled bad as soon as i opened the door. The owners are happy to take advantage of people who don't read the fine print in their cancellation policy. I was charged for a room i didn't even see. What the heck!?

Do not come here. Rooms were filthy and smelled bad. The service at front desk was awful. The wifi didn't work. My TVs volume barely worked. The shower had no hot water
