Super 8 by Wyndham Eau Claire WI

This hotel was gross enough that we couldn't stay. The outlets were broken, so the heat/AC didn't work unless you held the plug into the socket manually. Calling the property to make a booking, the price was double what it shows online ads and booking sites. We were practically the only car in the parking lot, but were told the place was "booked out," so the only room available was the one we were placed in, and conveniently higher priced. When we looked around the room, it was apparent that no cleaning had really been done. Dried-on ice cream, or some other sticky substance, was all over the telephone receiver. Also were told that we needed to watch our vehicle overnight, as break-ins were prevalent in that part of town. When we were about to leave (only an hour into our stay), the front desk told us they'd move us rooms (but I thought you were booked out??). No thanks... not worth potentially getting a second disgusting room.

Room was clean and Comfortable. Gentleman at front desk was kind and helpful. The breakfast could use a few more healthier options. For the money it worked for my quick overnight stay. I will stay again. Ibhatebthat I have to have a minimum of 200 words for this review.

Room was very clean, heating system was quiet (does NOT cycle on and off all night), bed was very comfortable. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was not really interesting, but given the excellent price of the place, it's easy to walk across the road to Randy's restaurant or the Kwik Trip. This hotel was a great place for a very reasonable price. It provides a safe, clean place for a restful sleep and nice, hot shower.

Positive: Staff very polite and helpful. Generally very quiet, but one night there was a noisy guest & staff addressed the issue promptly and gracefully. Large well-furnished room with exceptionally comfortable king bed. Good fridge, microwave, TV, internet. Negative: The edges of the room could use a more thorough cleaning. This often happens with carpet sweepers that don't get all the way to the edge. Everything else was perfectly clean, including the lobby and breakfast room.

Positive: Friendly and hardworking staff. Such a big hotel and so much to be done and it looked like they were doing the best they could do but so many little things left undone. Negative: The noisy and disrespectful guests with their loud music and talking. Sausage patty's gone and not replaced.

Positive: Cost was low for a quick overnight stay while my dad had surgery at a local hospital. Negative: There was no elevator, my room was on the second floor and I have trouble with stairs right now. The heating and air conditioning options are VERY dated. Location had very loud street noise.

Had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the bed was comfortable, providing a great night’s sleep after a long day. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always available to assist with any questions or needs.

Traveled for work, first time stayed the toilet didn’t flush, this last time 9-26-24 got up to take a shower had water pressure unfortunately did not make it to the shower head. I showed the gentleman at 6am who was working went back to the room which he confirmed, not a penny taken off my room. I usually don’t write reviews but after 2 incidents with no action from property manager here we are.
