NillWe stay here every year around this time, and I remember it being much nicer than it is now. The hot tub was broken, the elevator was out of order, and the pillows are tiny and useless. I also happened to forget my coat there which was just the cherry on top. I’ve come to this same hotel 10 different times for several nights at a time and not once have I had any issues until this year. Only one elevator was out of order, but it completely caused the cycle of things to be messed up. If the broken elevator was on your floor, it would not bring the working one to your floor and you’d have to take the stairs. When you were successful in taking the elevator however, it would make a horrible lurch while the doors were still open and it was quite an unsettling feeling. One of my favorite parts of staying here was the nice hot tub that they have, but upon arrival the hot tub was out of order and had a weird brown-yellow tinge to the water. I decided against using the regular pool for fears that there was some sort of water contamination. All in all I would not willingly stay here again unless these things were fixed. I get that the building is old, but when I’m reading reviews and seeing that just weeks ago the same issues were arising, I think its and issue of outdated equipment that needs to be updated. Sometimes replacing things is better than fixing them.

NillJen C made our stay the best experience. We stayed for state basketball. She helped us with our tickets. Ran out of conditioner and she solved that problem. And when needed room keys she solved that problem too. Thank you thank you! What a relief when away from home to have help when needed. Rooms were nice. Breakfast was great. Hot tub was under maintenance but that happens.

★★★★Hotel is well-maintained and in good working order. The pool and exercise room are both in good working order. Breakfast is hot, having many options to meet the needs and wants of a variety of appetites. Check in and out were a breeze. The room was spacious.

NillWalls and carpet were grubby. Pool was cold, it smelled moldy in the pool area, ceiling is jagged up. One elevator was out of order, makes you wonder about overall maintenance in the hotel. Plug in co2 detectors in the rooms were a nice touch. I've never seen those in a hotel before. Don't want to know what made the use of these necessary. Wife wouldn't even use the shower. Very dated. Not worth $130 per night. Stay at the Double Tree down the street for a bit more if you have the choice. No issues with the staff. I did not try the breakfast. The area was clean and well taken care of, though. I wouldn't spend more than $80 to stay here, tops, and I would still feel cheated.

NillHere is my visit results; Pros: The Continental breakfast has variety and delicious Room was very tidy Staff handled a complaint timely and professionally regarding a small issue Cons: We booked the room specifically for the hot tub, and I drove over 45 minutes for this location specifically, only for the hot tub to be as warm as a standard pool. The standard pool felt like an Ice Bath. The bed had a squeaky noise, so I was worried neighboring rooms would be annoying hearing me hit the hibbity dibbity on my girl. (This may have just been the bed we got though) Oh but, to be fair, while disappointed in the fact of the hot tub not being available, they did comp us for a free room when the hot tub gets fixed .. so I will give it 5 stars if I go back and the hot tub just hits different that day!

NillI'm not sure why others had a negative experience here, whereas we enjoyed our stay. We picked this hotel primarily as it was convenient to get to from I-90 going south, and it was near several restaurants, some you can even walk to. And there's a small mall with Kohls and Best Buy across from hotel and near TGI Friday's. Our room was clean, the beds were firm and comfortable, the refrigerator had a freezer section to re-freeze our ice packs from our cooler, and the sitting area included a sofa, chair and desk plus chair. I knocked off one star on the room just because the bathroom was small - not a whole lot of room between tub, toilet, and vanity, but alright for us. TV had great channel selection and a printed guide in room to find your channel. Pretty quiet place for midweek. Free hot breakfast included the usual variety - eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, muffins, cereal, and juices, no fresh fruit. Impressed that they used actual dishes and glassware, not paper. We'd stay here again. Only negative, not to do with hotel though, was the Shell station next door wasn't open so unfortunately had to find fuel elsewhere.

NillRoom was mediocre with respect to cleanliness, but the bed was noisy and falling apart. There was a pool light just hanging out on the bottom of the pool floor, still connected. That seems super safe and logical. There were many, many small things that were trashy, junky, old, outdated, and/or dirty. Half-assed paint jobs and repairs were everywhere. One stairwell smelled so terribly foul that even my 6 year old commented on it. My kid and I went to breakfast at 9:20am only to find the staff polishing off the rest of the free continental breakfast. We had to go elsewhere for breakfast. Breakfast was supposed to close at 10am, but I guess the staff are on a different timezone. Not worth the price, not going back.
