NillFor the money, you can do better. The pool looked kind of nice, so maybe if we used it, we'd have a slightly higher opinion. Though the hallway carpet where our room was located was fairly musty from being too close to the pool. The room was very small. The fees, high. 90 dollar pet fee for 3 days, then when a yogurt was spilled by our pet, an additional 100 carpet cleaning fee. All that would have been acceptable if the outside wasn't so grim. The parking is shared with other businesses and it's gross out there, just garbage and litter everywhere. Our interaction with the staff was limited but they seemed fine, as was the breakfast.

NillThe hotel was good. The only complaint about the room was the pillows. Very hard on the neck, there very soft and go flat quick. As far as parking it SUCKS! Have to share with a restaurant. No place to park! Have to park a distance away.

NillI should have read the reviews before staying here. Like others have said the parking lot is shared with another business which made parking difficult. Check in was relatively easy with no issues. When we stepped on the elevator there was a strong odor of Marijuana. Once we exited the elevator to our floor the odor was overwhelming. It also smelled like a mix of some kind of odorizer to cover up the scent. We were in town for business so when we returned the next evening, again the same odor. It was so bad it was coming into our room. We contacted the front desk. The kid who was working said he couldn't really do anything but spray the hallway. Which is probably what we smelt before. We asked to be moved to another floor, thankfully there was one room open. No apologies from any of the staff. The rooms were small and outdated. The pillows were ridiculously small. Our first room was so cold we could feel air coming from outside. Should have known something was up with the heat so hi. We have stayed at many AmericInn's in the past and this is definitely the worst one.

NillThe bad: Cockroaches. Do I need say more? I can't give more than one star with cockroaches. When I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted by about 30 bed mattresses and frames discarded on the side of the hotel. Shady people were outside, and one of them confronted me while parking. My better half remarked that it was a good thing we didn't bring our newer vehicle. The room is small and supposedly renovated. A big board with a hole (that used to be the mount for a large tv) sits behind the 1990ish, 30-inch screen tv. The pillows were square like the size of couch pillows, and there was an off smell like glue permeating the room. We went to the jacuzzi and immediately left once we discovered mold along the whole rim. The view from the windows in front of the jacuzzi shows a pile of wood and debris piled up. When we went to the room to shower, besides a sign that says if you stain any bath, hand, or wash towel that you will be charged $30, $20, and $10 respectively, there was a cheap rubber mat cheaply glued to a tub that should have been part of the renovation. As my better half showered, she screamed. I rushed in to find a cockroach moving across the floor. I took it to the front desk. Since no manager is on at night and he was not informed by the night attendant, I had to bring it up at checkout. Finally, a worker was vacuuming in the hallway at 9AM!! I have pictures of all of this and hope I am able to post them. When I brought up all that I am sharing with the manager upon checkout and expressed that there is no way that this is a 3 star hotel. He said what about the breakfast and said to contact him if I wanted to come back and he would give me 50% off the rate. The kinda good: The afternoon manager is super kind and tried to be as helpful as possible. Except for the mold and trash outside, the hotel appears clean. The coffees in front were always hot and available. The pool is open until midnight. The breakfast has biscuits, tortillas, corned beef-n-hash, sausage, kielbasa, eggs, oatmeal, waffles, breads, and condiments. The breakfast runs until 10AM. The problem with the breakfast items is that all the hot food is heated out of packaged bags.... and tastes that way. But for many, the breakfast will be seen as above average.

NillExcept for the guy at the front desk this was a great stay. Good price, pet friendly, great breakfast, clean room, slept like a baby. You should work with the front desk guy. Needs customer service skills. A little short and rude with little knowledge of the area
