Magnuson Grand Hotel

Everyone who works here is genuinely friendly and helpful. Safe location, and the beds are good for a night or two--the foldout couch was not the greatest, but we were only there for a night. Rooms are clean but could use some upgrades. The hot breakfast offers waffles, eggs, and sausage, as well as the usual suspects (bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal). A quiet and safe hotel for a short visit.

The accommodation was pleasant as we could arrive earlier than planned. The room was tidy and the staff was friendly. We did experience the housekeeping entering our room during my family's early rest. Fortunately, I was awake, and she expressed sincere regret. She was likely ensuring the room was prepared.

Nice place, clean rooms. Decent pool. Breakfast in the morning included but I wasn’t too impressed. Mini omelets lacked some flavor and a bit rubbery, sausage and cubed potatoes. Waffle maker is nice and other options were fine. Very close to downtown and everything (12-15 min drive depending on traffic). I would come back.

This hotel has been recently renovated. The rooms are large and clean, staff are friendly, and breakfast options are plentiful. If passing through Madison again we will look to book at the Comfort Inn again.

We were looking forward to the spa portion of the pool area, since the sign reads "Pool/Spa", so we excitedly put our swim suites and cover clothes on and ran downstairs only to find that there was no whirlpool or sauna. There were rules for enjoying the whirlpool on the wall, but nothing but a cold pool. Everything else as far as service and comfort and cleanliness of the room was excellent. The location is a bit in the boonies but an easy drive on highways to get to areas where shopping and restaurants are located.

It's now called the comfort inn and they did a great renovation; however, working with the casino would be a good idea as far as stepping up their amenities and comps.

Clean and spacious rooms, housekeeping does a good job and friendly staff. Only bad part is the useless roundabout down the road that doesn't allow you to go the way you need to for work but the detour is not bad and the place is well worth the minor inconvenience

Stayed for a week while we awaited moving into a new home. The front desk staff are very friendly, generous and accommodating to my situation. Beds are comfortable, basically clean, quiet rooms. The bathroom towels are far too thin and small. The pool area and hot tub need a solid cleaning, and was messy with towels or pieces of dirt or trash. The breakfast is hot, yet seemed to have minimal variation and was inconsistent with items like eggs (important for vegetarian types like me). Location is a bit quirky so be sure to ask staff as the GPS is not yet updated with the under-construction roads and signs. The building is mid-renovation and changing to a new brand so I imagine it will be even better in the months to come.
