Cambria Hotel Madison East

We need to travel to Madison once a month for treatment at the nearby hospital. We have tried other hotels in the area but we prefer The Cambria. Always clean and very convenient. The entire staff is friendly and always willing to help. When the manager found out why we were there , she offered to arrange a ride to the hospital. We asked to stay in a particular room and they always accommodate us.

Rooms were very nice and clean, but my TV hardly worked and was very unresponsive. The pull out bed in the couch was terrible and the beds were insanely hard. But amazing pillows. The service was clueless of its whereabouts and somewhat rude towards my family. Apparently we need a specific slip to eat but we were never told that. Top it all off the food was bland and had no taste. The bathroom was the best part but the shampoo made my hair look like Beavis from Beavis and Butthead. But the location was good, had many places to go.

Rooms were clean and the location is close to where we at for a volleyball event. Price was good for the place and the location. The pool was really small and the hot tub was out of service when we were there. They do have a small room of food and drink if you’re in need of something and don’t want to go out to buy it, but it is very pricey of course.

Good: Location was easy for access to the airport. Bad: At check in the front desk girl was having a personal conversation on the work phone. No acknowledgment for several minutes that we wanted to check in. Employee had on sweatpants. No name tag or uniform. Belly sticking out. Midway thru checking in she ran to the back and came back with a screaming baby and another small child. Strange man, stepped behind the desk (um security issue with personal info on the screen) and held the baby. Room: hair everywhere. Contact lens on the floor. Hair on the white sheets. Disgusting. Trash inside a decorative vase. White smears on the wood decor. For what we paid, we expect better. Will not choose this hotel again.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel for the second time, and it was a disappointing experience compared to my first visit. Two months ago, everything was impeccable: excellent service, clean rooms, and access to the pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, my recent stay was far from that standard. Upon arrival, my room was not clean, and the housekeeping clearly missed the mark this time. It's disappointing to expect cleanliness, only to find it lacking. To make matters worse, I discovered that both the pool and hot tub were closed, which was a significant letdown. These amenities were a major draw for my stay, and not being able to use them really impacted my overall experience. I approached the hotel staff to inquire about canceling my reservation upon seeing the sign about the pool closure, but their response was unhelpful. The staff simply threw their hands up and suggested that I needed to address the issue with a third party. This level of customer service was unexpected and left me feeling frustrated and unheard. Overall, my latest visit has made me reconsider whether I will return to this hotel in the future. The lack of cleanliness and poor customer service certainly overshadowed the positives from my previous experience. I hope the management takes these issues seriously so that future guests don't have to encounter similar disappointments.

Positive: Hotel was clean and modern. Rooms were spacious. The person who checked us in was very friendly, but beyond that staff didn't go out of their way to interact with us. Negative: The pool was closed and there was no communication regarding this. Very bummed as our kids were greatly looking forward to it.

I liked this hotel. The room was quite large for the price and the cleanliness was acceptable. Though I did notice some drain flies appearing in the bathroom and under the cushions on the chair and couch should be vacuumed more frequently. The hotel seemed to have good facilities like a pool and gym though I didn't use them during my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The drinking fountains near the pool were hit or miss. One fountain shoots water on the wall behind it while the other barely trickles out. Location is the biggest downside as it's not really near anything. But overall I think this hotel is a solid choice if you're on the road and need somewhere to stay.

Stayed there in October and everything was ok. Fast forward to December and they charged my card a 2nd time. Tried calling the hotel during business hours multiple times and no one answered. Called the main office and they did nothing. Told me I should call my credit card company and dispute the charges. NO accountability. Had to dispute then cancel my card. I'll no longer stay at this hotel nor will any of the folks that work for me. Watch your credit card statement if you stay here.
