Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Milwaukee Airport

Positive: Best thing was that they had full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner & body wash in the shower!!! No bugging housekeeping on a daily basis for those items. All of the staff was very kind, room was clean and spacious, decent breakfast. Negative: Nothing that I did not like but just a suggestion...have breakfast hours till 10am every day not just on the weekends.

Having a freezer was essential for me and overall I didn’t have any major issues. Minor issues were fridge leaking, hairdryer didn’t work, TV didn’t work. I stayed 2 Nights. Woke up the first morning with two pimple like bites on my neck, didn’t really think anything of it till I got back later and saw a little blood on my pillowcase. I did check the bed for bedbugs prior to laying in it, and noticed no signs. Also never had an issue with that kind of bite, but when I woke up the second morning, I had a larger pimple like bite on the other side of my neck. I never get pimples on my neck, but there is no other explanation.Never noticed any bugs of any kind, place seemed pretty clean other than the kitchenette floor was sticky. Minor signs of wear but nothing major. Overall seemed clean and bed was comfortable. The hallways did smell like cigarette smoke, but the room did not. Most likely from the guests going outside and coming back in. Not sure I would come back again based only on those neck bites.

The room was very nice and clean! The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was good and hot. It was quiet and the customer service was great. I have no complaints the whole hotel was clean. The elevator made me a little nervous because its one of the older models besides that. I had a great experience.

Sally at the front desk was wonderful. Check in, Check out simple and enjoyed my stay. Update: 1/12/25- noticed I left a Samsung speaker and immediately went back up there to pick up. It was stolen by the staff member listed in photo. He was extremely rude and couldn’t keep his story straight. When I walked in. He was behind the counter sniffing cocaine. Guess I bothered him. Will follow up with the owner to pursue lawsuit.

Hotel room was dirty and the whole hotel smells like cigarette and old food! Clothes drawer has dirts and hairs. Paper towel holder has visible yellow dirt and super sticky! Would not recommend. Waste of money. Customer service was ok.

This hotel room was dirty. The garbages were full of garbage. The kitchenette had a sticky floor. The blanket was dirty and the bed uncomfortable. The breakfast was good. I am glad it was just an overnight stop on our vacation. It was not a good experience.

The room was awful! It stunk like curry and mildew. The carpet was sticky and nasty. Never changed the sheets before i got there. I wouldn't even let a dog stay there. Scary too lots of vagrants around and nobody worried about it but me!!! Food made me sick! Business's around advertised to be there were all closed except McDonald's.

I started in this place in December of last year and I checked out in October of this year. It started good and fine but as I stayed there longer I meet the owner. A few weeks before I checked out the so called maintenance person came to the job drunk and smelling of alcohol with a bad attitude he had said he was just there to take out the trash and that was all he was doing. I had saw a ton of trash sitting next to the garbage can on the east side of the building. When I approached him and let him know about it he literally told me he did not need to be told how to do his job. If I had any problems go speak to the manager Lee. After that he stayed away from me for the next 2 weeks that I was there. On the day I checked out my husband took a video of the room before we left the room and checked out. And today when I went to go check back in I was told I was on the do not rent list for the room being a mess. When we told Lee the manager that we have a video of the room that his wife who works there at the front desk and did my check out about two weeks ago and told me that the room was the cleans anyone had left it because we started cleaning it three days before we checked out. The lazy maintenance person they have there likes to do nothing at all when he comes in all he does is sit on a chair from the time he comes in till the time he leaves also the whole time we were there the only time he worked was when the owner was coming in town. The housekeeps there worked go and fast I had no problem with them at all. The people who worked the front desk were nice but I just want to know how I got put on this list when my husband and I cleaned our room every day. Now over the last two days he still hasn't returned my husband's call because Lee doesn't have manager qualities and is not a very good manager at all
