We made our 2 night reservation about a month ahead of time and are so happy with our choice!||Super location within walking distance to everything in Egg Harbor. Far enough off road to avoid car noise. All rooms had a great view of bay.||All workers were friendly and helpful; we appreciated the restaurant and winery recommendations. They also gave us wine glasses to use.||We liked that it had a small indoor hottub with window so you could still bay. It was cooler and breezy on our trip. ||Rooms/building older, but rooms didn't have that old feeling. Well upkept and very clean. Bed was comfortable.

***I did not stay here but a friend stayed at this location. I visited them at their room so I do have personal experience with that. All customer service anecdotes are from my friend who stayed there. Egg Harbor Lodge is in a great location for Egg Harbor. It’s right across the street from Ashbrooke and a quarter of a mile to the restaurants of Egg Harbor. The rooms could use an update but the view outside and the pool are well worth it all! You have a full view of the lake and there is a nice secluded pool. My friend commented that the front desk was store accommodating and kind. The bikes are also complimentary to guests which is a great plus!

Stayed here a few times. Great view. Nice backyard looking over the lake. However, the view has gotten "overgrown ". No updates have been made and they charge by the number of guests. The pool was dirty the few times we stayed in "peak season prices ". Its much cheaper to check in online with 1 person then it is to rent a room in person with multiple people who are just visiting for a day.

Spontaneous choice of lodging ended up with us choosing to stay a 2nd night while we explored Door County. While the furnishings and decor might be a little dated, the room was immaculate with provisions for everything a much more modern hotel might provide (typically with a lot less character and warmth). Extremely friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom was tiny however shower had great water pressure and temperature control. Would recommend staying there again without question. Wish we would have stayed a 3rd night while exploring Sturgeon Bay. The extra driving would have been worth it.

A friend and I stayed 3 nights in May while bicycling the Door County peninsula. Jill did a great job orienting us at check-in. Room 113 was clean and spacious. The air conditioning worked well, and the bay view was outstanding! The owner let us store bicycles in the locked garage. We'll be back on our next ride here.

So quiet and beautiful. Rooms is older but very very clean. If you are sitting on the patio it's easy to hear the conversations of people on next patio over. So probably don't share state secrets. Would love to stay again.

Nice resort: comfortable room, coffee pot, refrigerator, microwave…….and LOVELY views of the bay. Friendly staff and owners. Old school bathroom, but sufficient. Daily services to tidy were appreciated. No food provided other than coffee or tea, so grocery shop before you get there. Limited TV if that matters to you. No dogs allowed, even well-mannered ones. But there’s a good kennel nearby (Door County Kennels).

Thanks to the owners and office staff who made me feel welcome. The owners and Jill who work the check-in office are great, very accommodating and helpful, especially Jill. She's a delightful person and was so helpful when I needed directions and information about a particular area. I'm giving this a two star review only because the rooms are a just gets the job done kind of place. I might stay here again if nothing else in Egg Harbor or Fish Creek at a similar price point is available. The good: great view of the bay, bikes you can use for free, walking distance to downtown Egg, clean bathroom with a new shower stall, large mini-fridge, and microwave in the room, window that you can open, and helpful office staff. The bad: the bed and pillows are very very firm, that does not work for me so I slept poorly. The wall unit AC was loud and leaked on the floor in the room, thankfully it was cool enough that I didn't need it after the first night (one of the owners responded immediately with a container to catch the water when I brought the issue to his attention). I killed at least one spider in my room every day and left with several spider bites, so they were in the bed with me at some point. It happens, but I'd rather it didn't. Maybe they can put in some bug hotels for first floor rooms. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in my room, so it's in need of an update. I also had to ask for cups and paper mugs that should have been replenished by the housekeeping staff but were not, but one of the owners in the office happily got me everything I asked for. They apparently don't vacuum during your stay, so note that this can be a problem if you happen to track sand into your room. One final note, avoid room 105 because it's right next to the whirlpool room and you can hear everything going on in there through the walls and when sitting out on the patio outside the room.
