Blue Bell Homestay Chikmagalur

Fell in love with the place the moment that door is opened. Our hosts, Mr. Rakshath and his mother, were incredibly welcoming. I’ll definitely be recommending this property to my friends.

I wish there were more stars to give. The homestay is beautiful, built inside a coffee estate which you can go to see yourself as well! Mr. Rakshat was very generous and a really great host. He helped us find whatever we needed (Food Delivery options, places to visit and general advice about going about Chikmagalur). The rooms are huge with attached bathrooms, both of which were clean including the pillows and bedspreads. Huge balcony with beanbags, swings and chairs, home-made wine (Try the Fig and Banana wine) and campfire and BBQ at request. I cannot wait to be back at the homestay. And it is what it says, a home.

We had a wonderful stay for 2 days. The accommodation is spacious. Had two rooms with appropriate space along with a small lobby with tv. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Complementary breakfast was scrumptious, we had local food like dosa, aloo rice and some local desert. There is plenty of space outside where we played cricket and badminton in the evening 😀 Sports equipments were provided by the owner. There is good lighting outside, so we were able to play at night as well. You can also do other outdoor activities like bonfire. The owner was very helpful and sweet. He shared the itinerary with us which also included some secluded and lesser known place that you will not find in online recommendations. He also provides rental scootys. The location is near to the city and also kind of center to all the major attractions. Overall a recommends for stay!!

We, 12 guys had 4 days of super satisfying experience at your your place. Beautiful place, well kept, real home stay, with breakfast n lovely dinner from helpfull owners. After dinner relax at outside cottage with logfire.. Those who could not go for far off waterfalls/sightseeing tours, Rakshit helped us with Amazon lunch orders, showed his coffee estate, touring with us. Perfect hosts- Mother/ son duo..

It's a really nice place, the location was great, amidst the coffee plantations! Very pretty garden and the rooms were very big and nice. Rakshat was a very nice host. Just 2 things were a set back, the breakfast could have been a bit better or with better varieties. Dinner could have been provided at an extra cost, because though they had a tie up with delivery partners the restaurants were not that great except one or two. It was also 5-6 kms from the town due to which we had to travel to eat there but after sunset there is not much street lighting on the way, and it's definitely not that safe women travellers or those who take 2 wheeler, so it's better if they provide dinner at the homestay. Another setback was that we had stayed 5 days, they could have checked with us if they could replace the toiletries or atleast drinking water or tucking in the sheets, but we had request everything from them, based on our previous homestay experiences, this was something missing.

It was very good experience overall..owner rakshath ready to help us on every single ask from speaking to local auto driver, arranging bonfire, jeep ride , food requests etc...location is fantastic as well.we enjoyed the view. Dinner and breakfast was highly satisfactory. bonfire setup was good....pleasant stay. Safest place for family as well Suggestion to owner : * beds can be improved * if price can be reduced little bit, more budget travelers can enjoy your beautiful place

We were group of six and stead for two nights. The homestay is just superb.It us located in the lovely coffee estate with all the amenities.The host Rakshath and his mother have provided us whatever we demanded. We have celebrated "kojagiri pournima " and Rakshath had a solution for it also.It was just fantastic and memorable. The food ,both veg and non - veg was excellent, hospitality was awesome. Mr.Rakshath is very helpful and committed owner.

We had a really wonderful stay at Blue Bell! Rakshath has managed the property very well and provided all the support to us with a kind gesture. Not only this but helped us with the recommendations on places to visit a round. We will visit Blue Bell again for more extended stay !!
