Bliss Hostel

It was such a bad experience we had. We were forced to cancel the online reservation which was cheaper. And they provided us a room in the name of suite room.. only the room was big, AC was not working properly. Shower was repair. After paying 2k we were asked to get fresh up in dorm.. such a worst experience. No proper response. If you prefer cleanliness this won't suit.

Stayed for a night. On arrival couldn't find booking and they were very confused. The room we were put in was small, smelt like mould and pretty filthy. Aware that we paid such a small amount of money but for the same price there are amazing and clean homestays right round the corner. Ended up moving out the next morning as was really unpleasant. They had padlocked the gate though so my partner had to dig around to find a key to get out (after 9am) as no one was around. Do some research and stay at one of the many other places round Fort Kochi.

Good and cheap price. Accommodation is also good enough for long stay, so I stay here for 1 week in private room. Staff is very fun and helpful. They can get you anything, just ask and you'll be surprise.

We didn’t end up staying at the bliss hostel due to the fact that no one else was staying there at the time. When we arrived the outside was bolted up and no one was around to let us in. Our cab driver ended up calling and then a boy came and opened it for us, we entered and it is a lovely converted house with glorious artwork on the walls. However due to the fact that no one else was staying and that there was no manager / receptionist present, we didn’t feel particularly comfortable staying the two nights we had booked. On our booking it said that we could cancel our booking until 6pm that day, free of charge, and so we did. That’s when the boy called his manager and said that she was stating that we had to pay for the two nights we had booked seeing as we had begun to fill out the check in book. There is no policy that states that as a rule so we said no to paying - as we weren’t going to stay and that we had cancelled our booking. The manager (over the phone) then says that she’ll dock the boy’s pay due to us leaving, a manipulative and unfair move and one that was absolutely nothing to do with us. Had she been the one to greet us, she wouldn’t have had her pay docked. We left feeling deeply sorry for the boy and incredibly uncomfortable.

Friendly staff! Will order food for cheaper cost than many of the close restaurants. Although if you walk east for about 5-10 minutes there's a very nice cheap restaurant called Grandma's Kitchen (or something like this) Rooms were a bit dirty, but for the price I can't really complain. Short walk to reach the beach, and there are many tourist shops very close.

I do NOT recommend this place ! I stayed there one night instead of two because the room was terrible. It was the two person bedroom without AC. The room smelled bad (humid) as soon as we turned the fan off. The sheets were clean, but don't look under the bed... Bathroom very small and a bit creepy

If you are into smoking, drinking, hanging out, sleeping all day - this is your place. If you are looking for a nice room with a window (fresh air!), daylight, helpful stuff that is not stoned and a restaurant that actually serves food and drinks - stay away from this place and find a better option!
