We came from the USA to visit Vaishnav Devi and stayed at the Welcome Hotel in Katra. It was a great experience. The food was superb and the head Chef Mukesh Sharma was jovial and a highly creative chef. He presented us some unique and sumptuous dishes, and overall the food was very tasty. We were given a great room with incredible views of Vaishnav Devi's mountain and the temple. House keeping was extraordinary and we learnt that Mr. Raj -the in-charge of house keeping ran a very tight ship. There were several people on the front desk and Mr. Abishesk was extremely courteous and very responsive to our needs and questions. I also recall meeting the hotel manager who was very eager and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience.

I ll give this hotel ZERO rating because the person in the reception have no manners to how to talk with their guests when I arrive at the hotel they just start asking for money pay for the rooms and i said sir i ll pay don't worry but they keep saying pay the room charges and i booked 3 rooms with 2double bed and 1 single all ac rooms and they didn't give the same and even one room is ac and after 1 hour they cut off the light saying it's not our fault and someone told me it's their daily practice to save money. So it's when I start the yatra for vaishni devi|But when I m returning after the darshan the hotel manager said we ll pick uh up and drop from the location but there driver isn't their and i booked the same hotel because I needed it for for only few hours so i didn't gave much thought but this time we all are so tired and booked the room and the manger start saying pay the room charges we checked in the rooms but this time in one room there are cockroaches and the mangers said I can't do anything about this. |This is the worst I ever experienced.

I had a wonderful experience at the welcom hotel by itc katra. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The staff at this property are all great. mr. vishal from front desk very help . food is great with different variety in breakfast and dinner. we like the stay and definitely stay here back and also recommend our family and friends to visit here .

Pretty simple & descent rooms. Good room service. Big bathrooms so that you can enjoy your bath. Good Pick & drop service for darshan. Vehicle will come you pick you up with in 10 mins of your after reaching banganga after darshan. ||Very Light on Pocket. & you can negotiate for little bit more.

#Never ever visit this hotel# As a guy took us from bus stop to this hotel , the hotel is with full of rats & had been to visit Vaishno Devi we were tired a lot and the room had got messed up with the rats and at late night the staff was not responding at all. Around 2am we got another room.

Can't give zero stars so 1 star. Hotel with NO hot water, NO geysers, NO pillows, NO Blankets, NO Manager, NO electricity, NO drinking water, Dirty Toilets. Really shows Stars ( Tara) in Broad Day Light. All images shown on Goibibo and other sites are fake.

From check in to check out everything was just excellent.||A very warm hospitality team across.||Special mention of Mr.Jagdev & Chef Sharma.||Also the massage therapist Surjeet gave a fantastic treatment.||Well appointed rooms with good linen & specially to note that every room has a sofa cum bed for a family accommodation.
