Hotel Tramboo Continental

Rooms are clean. Toilets need few maintenace. Staff is cooperative. They dont have central heating but provide bajaj fan heater on request, but advise to keep it on for max 1 hour. Stayed for 3 nights. Electricity went and geyser water got over, hotel will not arrange for hot water and you will have to wait for electricity or request other room tourists to help you. Location is good as its close to Dal Lake. It gets chilled at night due to proximity to Lake.

The staff was not maintaining any type of hygiene level in the rooms and the bathrooms. Both were dirty and they don’t even change the bedsheets, pillow covers, etc. for the next guests. The curtains of the ground floor rooms were small than the windows so the inside of room was completely visible from outside. Not a good experience we had during our stay.

Location is good and they’ve ample space for being a good property but their rooms are simply pathetic. You’ll find spiders nets, insects in room, mattress quality is 3rd class, no water bottle, no towel nothing. No kitchen for snacks or any eatable.

The rooms were very dirty and unhygienic. I stayed there with my friends. The service was really poor. The receptionist was a mentally-handicapped and misogynistic person. He made many offensive and suggestive comments against me and my friends as we were all single and unmarried girls. It is not surprising as all the men there are like that there. So unmarried girls and people with unmarried daughters, please stay away from this hotel as it is very unsafe for women.

Room were great. Nice and clean. Affordable price. Location also very good. Issue was with the plumbing in bathroom. The water was getting choked while bathing. Rest is okay.
