The hospitality at Welcome hotel lived upto its name and the staff ensured that all of our needs were taken care of. The food was delectable and our cravings just kept cropping up to try everything on their menu. F&B manager Zahid did a stellar job of appeasing to our taste buds.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel with a fantastic view of Dal Lake, which added a peaceful and scenic touch to my experience. The staff were polite and kind, always ready to help and make sure I was comfortable. Special thanks to Mumzat for going above and beyond with exceptional service. One of the worst experiences ever. I have travelled to many cities and stayed at many hotels. I generally do not share reviews but I am sharing this for the benefit of other tourists and travellers. When we checked-in, they told us that they “upgraded” our rooms. The entire room was dirty, and it seemed like it was not cleaned for months. The bed had bed bugs and we were bitten and have red spots on our bodies. The washroom door did not close. The wooden framework is broken. Overall the rooms do not deserve a single star. Next, we ordered empty plates to eat fruits. We were denied and their staff stated “we do not know what kind of food you bring from outside”. After requesting again, we were asked to speak to the MD of the hotel who was supposed to come at 11 am. Imagine. They want us to speak to the MD for empty plates. Their housekeeping staff kept marching up and down near our rooms, giving no privacy at all. They did not have any work, but were just taking a stroll outside our rooms all morning. At sharp 12 noon, they kept asking us to check out. There was no guests waiting to check in or anything like that. The prices which they charge are more than 5 star hotel rates in many cities. But the service they offer is less than 1 star hotel. When we were complaining at the reception, it did not seem they were sorry at all. All they said is “Work is going on in the hotel”. All this in less than 24 hours. Very rude behavior and they still kept asking us for tips. I would suggest you to look at any other property. This hotel needs to seriously work on their infrastructure, staff and how to treat guests.
